Speak Easy (formerly El Yamama)

ACD Page: Speak Easy

Op last van de gemeente moet coffeeshop Speak Easy in het centrum de deuren sluiten.
De shop mag wel verder in Oost.

De nieuwe zaak opent op de Eerste Oosterparkstraat.

I don't think I was previously aware of this coffeeshop, either at its old location in Centrum or the new one (off Wibautstraat). But I passed it yesterday on my way to Katsu. Briefly considered dropping in, but it looked as though the seating area was shut, and in any case I'd rather have my first smoke in the Dam somewhere where I'm unlikely to be disappointed.

Passed it on the way back in the evening, and you could see into the seating area, which was unimpressive. A few customers, quite young. And a bouncer outside, which always puts me off.

I realise this isn't much of a review, but nobody seems to have said anything about this place for a while, and there must be others like me who didn't know it was there. So perhaps someone more adventurous might want to give it a go if they happen to be on the other side of the Amstel, as that stretch isn't teeming with coffeeshops.

Pretty much, as far as I could see. I'll probably say something on the Katsu thread.
