I really like this coffeeshop - I always have my last smoke in the Dam here as its near central station and you can sit out (either in the sun or in their conservatory if the weather is bad)

On my recent trip they seemed to be having some work done though so i didn't pop in - sure it'll be finished soon though.

Definitiely recommend this shop if you wanna chill, people watch and listen to reggae music. The bud is decent but you can find better and cheaper elsewhere.

One note - on a trip to the Dam several years ago, I actually saw Astro and Ali/Robin Campbell (not sure which one i was stoned) from UB40 in Rastababy and had a brief chat.

thought this place was pretty righteous. Found a nice little spot in the conservaty and watched people run into places to get away from the monsoon outside. Altho the whole pre-packeged weed thing is a little bit sketch. I guess its in the lap of the Gods if its on weight or not!

Nice place to sit and chill when waiting for trains, planes or just watching the world go by...

Weed is good - nothing spectacular, but good honest bud - well priced and easy smoking. Drinks and service have always been excellent, and the music is good to relax to. The stoner cats are always good fun to watch (and talk to!) and for the most part, you get a nice crowd in here... - With one exception when a group of English kids on their first weed trip piled in here one Friday night, borrowed my Zippo to light up and then refused to give it back. Now I'm a BIG guy, and very placid usually, but this wound me up to the point where I stood up and very quietly suggested to the nearest lad that my lighter had better be back on the table in 15 seconds or someone would be carrying the remains of their friend home. My treasured Zippo was returned to me, I sat back down, and 10 minutes later the entire group were thrown out.

Kids, eh? Nothing against 'em, hell, I was one once, but don't mess with a guy's "happy" vibe. (and I'm English!)

Nice place, nice vibe. Let's keep it that way.

the reason the weed is cheap is that it doesnt weigh up. 3gram bags. 2grams according to the guys reviews on the main site,

If I lived in Amsterdam, I would get sick of listening to reggae. I guess that's why I'm pretty sick of bluegrass

i always really liked rastababy but after reading sum reviews from other people im starting 2 change my mind. its worryin that so many people r saying they hav been ripped off, the last time i went the weed didnt seem that gud n the guy behind the counter was either really stoned or just couldnt b botherd with us so we didt stay long.

I found the house Skunk at RastaBaby to be far superior to the "Name Brand" Junk at most of the other places. Had I listened to my friend I would have saved a lot of euros' and went for the skunk up front.
The crew at Rasta responds well to conpliments and are genuinely a friendly lot once you break the ice. Just try complimenting them something like this: "I should have known the best weed in Amsterdam would be at the Jamaican place!". That should start the conversation off on a high note, (no pun intended)

I never usually go for house specials, much like I wouldnt order a house bottle of wine (then again, I dont drink whine, yuk!). However, a few years ago I went for the Hill Street Speical, which was good. Similar to the skunk that was about for us about 6 years ago

Cant really take to the skunk for some reason, possably the strong smell, I dont know there is just something about it that I dont like!. May try it again at some point as I might have just been unlucky.



RastaBaby does, however seem to have very cheap prices. Possably due to being pre-packed and thus likely underweight!.

Hill Street Blues special in 06 was shivaXskunk if i remember correctly...twas a very good smoke indeed.

I've only been here once, but this seemed like an alright place. Like people have said, it's very convenient for the train station and cheap too: my girlfriend and I had a pre-rolled each as a final toke before the train and at 3/4E each they killed us!

Nice enough vibe in the place and the staff seemed friendly, but I guess we didn't really stay long enough to see it it would be worth spending an afternoon/evening there. Still, if you want to get ripped on your last few Euros on your way out of town, here's the spot!

Sorry people just cant like this place. My mates love it but i just dont. I dont rate the weed although it gets you wasted i just dont know why but it gives me a headache like Kadinskys weed

Just come back from Dam and it hasn't changed one bit.

It was my first stop & first smoke of the trip, bought 2.8g of Crystal for 15 E(The prices have gone up it was 12.50e before) I must say the crystal hit me hard and I was walking around stoned off my head and feeling mad paranoid that night walking the streets of Dam looking for coffeeshops!
