Exactly, unless you're in a pre-bagged shop. You'll see some people say stay away from (fill in the blank). If you like the atmosphere of the shop, it ain't gonna hurt to ask to see/smell the buds. Don't be afraid to say "no thanks"
I ask to see it even if it's pre-bagged, most shops will let you take a look.
Good one too. I'm sure Club Media and Katsu will both let you take a peek. Dunno about Bluebird or any others though.

Yeah I've looked at baggies from both Katsu & Club Media, Central are generally quite good as are Paradox.

That's a harsh statement and a little unfair... although opinions differ, Double R is known to be sub-par at times.

Perhaps you just caught a bad batch. What kind of weed was it?

So Double Reggae was 'racist' against you because you are white? That's original.

Come on... you're making things up in your head.

Didn't buy any bud from DR but sat in for 20 minutes while my boy used their internet. Place was practically empty, the vibe was snooze inducing and worst of all, they weren't playing any reggae!

The best thing about this shop to me was the "Dont Fuck Around" sign on the front window which, thankfully, can be enjoyed without actually going inside.

Called here on my first trip to the Damage, 2004 I think. It was the first coffeeshop we tried. We didn't know any different, it looked to sell what we wanted. :D

It was also a time when some coffeeshops sold beer and this place had a bar. The guy behind the bar sold us 3 bottles of Amstel and I think we got some Northern Lights, took a seat and rolled up.

The beer wasn't great but I was busy rolling and after a detour to Amersfoort on the train (wrong train from Schiphol), anything wet tasted good. It was only when my mate read the label on the bottle that said Amstel Malt - practically non alcoholic, we thought it was definitely one of those days! The weed was ok but nothing special.

Anyway, it didn't take long to realise that better places were about. I doubt I'd ever go back to Double Reg but I'll always remember it!

Asked for 2 cokes the guy pulls out 2 paper cups and a plastic 2L bottle and pours the drinks, very shody. I only stopped to check the net (€1/ 20mins) which I thought was fair.
