I agree on both points 100 percent. Great reviews, but 'drugs' sounds like such a dirty word. I am not a drug head, and I don't do drugs... but i do enjoy marijuana. I like the sounds of that phrase!

I agree with Redeyed here. Mr.Oranje's review has nothing to do with the grasshopper in Eindhoven because I visit the shop in Eindhoven regulary.

I also think that this is a review about one of the Grasshoppers in Amsterdam  .

I visited the Grasshopper Eindhoven yesterday (4 July 09) and was, as usual, treated with attentiveness and respect. I consider myself lucky having only one bad customer-service-related experience in the hundreds of visits to various coffee shops. No need to dwell...shit happens.
I tried their White Widow (Euro 7 per gram, WOW!javascript:emoticon(':D') and Amnesia (Euro 12 per gram) and they we both delicious.
For what it's worth, some advice for those who seek a more relaxed and attentive service, try going to the shop within the first hour or two of them opening. Since it will be early in the day, the bud tenders haven't had to deal with many, if any, assholes.
Happy trails....

note, bags are short. I bought 5 grams of White Widdow that weighed 4.7, and Zero-Zero that weighed 4.8g

otherwise a good stop, nothing special.

On occasion I have weighed their prepackaged gear and I have had the odd bag that was .1g low. Depending on variables such as how long the gear had been bagged, temp/humidity/light exposure, etc.., it doesn't surprise me that bags would be a little under. If I discovered I had a short bag (.2 or more), my next visit to the shop would include bringing my digital scale. If short, I would bring it to the attention of the dealer. I would use caution at this point, specifically the use of tone and language. Either the scales are faulty, someone is shorting the bags, or the gear is being improperly stored. This is one of my pet peeves about shops that sell prepackaged gear only. I like to be able to see the bud tender place the gear on the scales and see the weight for myself. I have, in addition to spot checking the weight of prepackaged gear as mentioned above, checked the weight of gear that was weighed in front of me. The weight has been either exact (to the .1g) or a little over. :D Lucky? Maybe.

Peace

I first went to Grasshopper in Feb 09 where we smoked a pre-rolled white widow joint in the coffeeshop. That was great.. nice high and pleasant taste. We also bought a bag of loose white widow, and that smoked nice as well.. great high.

However, since returning to Grasshopper and buying loose white widow in August 09 and November 09, both bags gave a soapy aftertaste.. not pleasant at all.

I have avoided Grasshopper since.

My kids were in town and wanted to do the Grasshopper.. so we went there today. It was busy but not packed.. and we bought a bag and a couple of pre-rolled. I bought a krystal pre-roll which was very pleasant, a nice flavour and mellow buzzing high.

I ended up bumping into an old friend so I caught up and didn't really take much notice of my surroundings. Not sure if they checked all the IDs there either...

I popped into the Grasshopper on two separate occasions when I was in Eindhoven just before Easter. The first one was a flying visit so I just had a pre-rolled Northern Lights joint. It was nice enough but I usually try to avoid buying pre-rolled as, a) you don't know how much weed is in it, b) you can't be entirely certain what weed it is and c) you don't know what the tobacco is like.

I was up early the next day and pulled into the Grasshopper just after 10am. The shop was quite full so I picked up a gram of Amnesia Haze, which I think was about 12 euros, and settled down at a table near the counter. It had a nice taste and a solid high - one of those occasions when you think to yourself, 'I was fine 5 minutes ago and now I'm very smashed and it's only 10.30am!!' I had no plans for the rest of the day, aside from smoking as much weed as I could, so I sat back and watched the customers come and go for the next hour or so. It's a busy shop and there was a healthy mix of people popping in to pick up and those wanting to sit down and smoke.

In my haste to choose from the menu when I arrived, I had failed to notice that there was an additional handwritten menu on the counter. There were a couple of varieties of weed and hash and I decided to sample a gram of their Colombian Haze for 13.50 euros. I had actually bought some of this last August when I pulled in on the way to Belgium for a music festival and it was again an excellent smoke - the best of that trip and also this one. The only regret I had was that they also had Royal Cheese Haze on the additional menu but it was only available in 5 gram deals for 40 euros. I'll be stopping off again in August so fingers crossed it's still on the menu!!

Had their ice-o-lator(only for a short time on offer I guess). 12e/1,2g, black respectively dark brownish colour. Pliable, fresh and crystals easily to spot per eye.
Nice up-high. Recommended.

Good opportunity to warn people against this.

According to this thread
https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/viewt ... 7&start=30 you've been ripped off(at least in my humble opinion). Just saying as I read your grow thread and wonder how this could happen then(unless the situation at the Grasshopper changed and we're talking about a different strain here, I doubt that though). Since growers are infallible, right(on the other hand to err is human, isn't it  ?)?See, I respect your opinion of course(enjoying it and all that), maybe you don't mind additives but I found it to be plain to see(respectively smell). Each to their own  !

By the way: sorry about your problems with customs (https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/viewt ... 10&t=18729 - another by the way: I always asking myself why people make comparisons between a big city like Amsterdam and the rest of the Netherlands. What do they expect? 'Little Amsterdam ' ( One can find good grass and hashish nation- respectively worldwide one only has to look hard enough for the best places). But that's another too long stroy I guess  .).
