Popped in here on Friday night for a late bed time nightcap, the menu was fairly small and included the Lemon G13 which was still on there as per the last posters note in February.
'twas a buy and fly for me and after a quick check of a few herbs chose the very tasty Bubblegum which I think was 7 or 8 Euros per g. Nice sticky buds about the size of an acorn which smelled sweet and tasted good, burned well too, took it back to my hotel where it provided a good lay-you-out-flat effect for sleep.
BudT weighed it out in front of me and he was a pleasant helpful guy. Discussed a bit of cheap 5 per g Thai but he openly admitted it wasn't very good - fair play to him for that.
Shop has a small serving counter at the front right on the edge of the street, the back of the shop is a smoking area behind a glazed door and window.
Pretty laid back and next door to some good food places BurgerBar being one of them.
Worth a drop by, a mixed small menu, no frills.

thanks for the post. I have walked past BEN 100's of times over the past 13 years and never ventured in. I'll stop by in December.

Very, very sad to hear that Ben will be closing July 1, 2014 as part of "phase one" of coffeeshop closures. Ben, you and your cats will be missed! Always my first and last stop when I'm in Amsterdam...

I did like this shop, only got weed once was strawberry sour diesel. Was ok. But I always had to chill in here atleast once a trip, shame I can't in august tho! Staff were always friendly, I asked for 2 teas the once but the girl didn't give me any milk so I asked for some and she turned to me and said "does tea actually taste nice with milk?" then the budtender said "it helps sooth the throat for smokers" I laughed and said, in england we always drink tea with milk. I didn't know people did drink tea without milk?" they both laughed! I sat back down in front of tv and the budtender came over and changed the channel to the football. Buzzing! It was dutch football, didn't know the teams but who cares, a game of footy, fat zoot and a cup of tea in amsterdam. Perfect!!
