I visited the Paradox with a pal in December last year and we had one gram of the „Special“ on recommendation of the budtender, who - by the way - appeared to be a very competent and friendly person. The „Special“ was a very pleasant smoke (although neither smell nor taste were overwhelming) with an intense, almost psychedelic cerebral high. It ranks among the best strains we tried on this trip and was well worth it‘s rather high price (15,00 € per gram). :)

Although the atmosphere was very relaxing, I was quite disappointed with the interieur - the walls could have used some new paint. :?

Still, the product quality on the one hand and the service on the other hand are superb. I‘ll surely visit this shop again on my next trip in February. ;)

What a nice, laid back, mature cs. Cool budtender. I would occasionally see locals here but it wasn't too crowded. Top Amnesia Haze and very nice Turkish Hash. The Turkish Hash was real hard, though. The guy said I would have to cut it with a knife and then got out a huge knife that was machete-like to cut off my gram. Has anyone else purchased the Turkish Hash? I tried to warm it up, soften it, etc. but it was tough. Nice high, though. It's also very enjoyable walking around the neighborhood.

Top class coffee shop! I wholeheartedly agree with the numerous positive comments about this place.

Great BT who really knows his stuff. On my last visit I visited this place solely with the agenda of purchasing some finger hash. Unfortunately they had run out. After a 5 minute chat with the BT I bought a gram of the "wash" at, I think, 12Euro a gram. Sat down to have some in my hash pipe and was disappointed as it looked and felt like UK soap bar. Persevered with breaking it up into pieces and was immediately very happy with my purchase.

The 5 euro policy is great for those who are indecisive and me and my partner took full advantage.

Great stuff!

Walked here on Sunday, the shop was open but its like a building site, didnt fancy sitting having a smoke when theres building work going on! After reading all the good things about this shop I was dissapointed not to be able to sit and chill for a while. Bought a 5 euro bag of cheese it was ok at best.

Went yesterday and they were closed. Looks like a full refit going on, so might be closed for a bit longer

It will be interesting to see how it will look after the renovation. It is one of my favorite coffeeshops. Great place to chill and smoke and they make a decent coffee.

Hope they don't paint over the mural

If I had to pick what represents the most Amsterdam for me I'd pick this mural. I had some of the best moments in my life looking at this.

Ive enjoyed Paradox for many years but will be delighted if that hideous ' mural ' is lost forever . Its not really in keeping with the general vibe of the place .
