Bang on, and Amsterdam Genetics owe me 2 coffees for the ones I spat out after reading them posts.

Unfortunately the unregulated buisness in the Netherlands makes it possible IMO

Still want the 100-150g of dry flowers instead of my gram of bud please.

Professor Harvest ...What. a joke of a answer on your gentics ,never mention where you got your gentics , Didn,t won't to talk about Simon from Serious seeds AK 47 or his double bubble. The fact his Ak 47 was sold for ever by Greenhouse and most shops before they all started making seeds. Never heard of a breeder not wonting to brag about his work ,unless you stole your gentics.....will go with that :D

@Amsterdam Genetics

You act like the average clumsy business student giving out phrases from their standard work regarding customer care. Reread the topic about transparency please but save your time as this is the main problem and reason for your bland response as this business is everything but transparent. Your rhetoric is insufficient though. That statement in dutch says it all my intellect took offence when you posted it.
Why not just be honest and admit you have no clue as it‘s all illegal.
Serieus? Eerlijk duurt het langst: ‚Voor onzere schapen: 'Vraag niet hoe het kan, maar geniet er van!' Goeie grutjes!

Am done with you!

Thanks to the others chipping in here.

Hi Guys,

It’s been very interesting reading your views over the past few days on the topic of the Amsterdam Genetics Blocks. We now see that there needs to be some clarity on few things:-

1. Well done @KeyMonCha, you fully grasped the process of how 150g of dried buds are used to make Grade A, Grade B, Grade C, etc. etc. for the Hash Blocks

I'm curious, you never really responded to the claim in the article that everyone on here addressed: is it that amount of "dried buds" required to make one gram of "block hash"? Or was that indeed a typo?

I think it was addressed.... 150g of dried buds, 1st sift = Grade "A".... The same 150g is then sifted again for Grade "B", and so on... So it's the same 150g used multiple times resulting in gradually decreasing quality...

...Hope that helps.

2. We assure you that there are absolutely no binding agents or anything else for that matter added to the blocks during processing – We would gladly invite anyone to send a sample of any of the Blocks for testing. Test Lab Amsterdam is an independent testing facility used by coffeeshops and other industry professionals to test hash and weed strains. You can find them through there website. We would genuinely love to hear the outcome of any testing carried out by you guys.

3. @Macky - If our genetics are a topic of conversation I guess the best thing to do is open another forum where this can be discussed, otherwise the topic of this forum about the Amsterdam Genetics Blocks gets lost in translation.

4. For a small number people on this forum, we have a surprise for you. We intend to invite 4 people from this forum to test the new Amsterdam Genetics Blocks in person. You will receive a personal invite over the coming days to come to Amsterdam and test the Blocks in person with someone on hand to answer any questions you have.

5. As to how the product can offered for sale at the price it is, surely that is for us to know, after all as we said it is not down to us to give away all our secrets

6. @Jesscass you were completely right, maybe this phrase would have been better: -

“The roots of education are bitter but the fruit is sweet” (Aristotle)

For our fellow Nederlanders:-

“De wortels van het onderwijs zijn bitter, maar de vrucht is zoet" (Aristotle)

Guy’s - Just to reiterate Amsterdam Genetics are on these forums to answer as many questions as possible in an open and transparent way. We assume everyone on these forums is aware, that unfortunately certain things cannot be discussed because of the legalities of the business we are in. We as you would love to see a change in the law that would give more freedom for discussion for everyone.

Kindest Regards
Amsterdam Genetics

Psychic, huh   ?! Believe it or not was going to mention in my last post only thing missing here is to give out free seeds(like this manager(?)of the Rokerij once did years ago, don't know about the reason though anymore)or free wiet and hasj all for the good of humanity of course it's not dodgy at all!

Still 'done' means done. So don't care about your testing Amsterdam Genetics this is my official refusal as quite into impartiality even though it's in fact impossible but still keep on trying. Not my idea of reporting.

While we completely respect everyone's opinions who are not a fan of the chain or their products we have a hard time understanding the very hostile and derogatory manner in which people choose to voice their opinions, is it really necessary to reply to the posts of the representative as if "them be da devil" and why in about treating this specific company as if they are the root cause of the general challenges met by the industry (such as the paradoxical nature of the industry it self) instead of one of the victims of these circumstances...?

As mentioned before we do not think ams gene to be infallible, nor necessarily bereft of the profit seeking motives of most (all?) busynesses, and nwith respect to communication and PR still has a lot to learn, but it is hard for us to understand why they as a quality shop with good value are singled out asthegreat Satan ...

yes the tangie g13 block was over priced at 20 per gram comparing to other products from here and top shops and we still maintain (as we were the first to point out) that the article in the start of the thread is misleading even though the explanation behind is consistent with traditional approaches (where do you think soap bar comes from, first sieve....?) and maybe still somewhat exaggerated. BUT in general it isIhard to dismiss without argument the fact that then tro to engage with us, are good valued an pioneers within block / newsschool so why UIe concerted hate?

...and no, we are not on the payroll or in any other way payed off, we (very grudgingly) had to decline the very courteous offer to participate yesterday way before reading any of these posts due to planning issues being some six hundred kms away when the time comes...

hope they take both our suggestions for alternate candidates though :)

Jess: actually very sad that you declined, would really have loved your honest and well argued opinions afterwards, be they for or against and we always believe in working with and not against a challenge (not talking things talking things directly in contradiction to our values and morality, but of are hopefully not at that state wrt the given situation are we Jess?). Anyways, your feedback would have been valued, also by the company and we believe it is what you do wit such opportunities that matter (even though their motives might have been to grease you, which wouldn't really be smart given your posts and reviews where nyou ot specifically write that you have no misunderstood loyalties to anyone) . shame, at the very least it could have provided a very recent background for further discussion and we believe that you Jess would be honest and fair in your feedback so would be quite interested in this now that we can't go ourselves (but hey, the two alternates may come through)...

Nicely put :) not sure I'dd label all of the harsher critiques as hate. But I see your point and I 100% agree that it's very easy to criticise while forgetting the pressures which these establishments work under. I'm not excusing bad service or bad products (perceived or otherwise) - we as consumers must exercise our rights to critique, that's entirely rationale. But there is an element of hyperbole that is oft an intrinsic facet of internet critique. Pinches of salt to be taken at all turns :)
