haha nice Peng, my bud senses were of course on par! it was still a nice smoke but let me tell you, there is nothing that can compare to the California purple genetics... theres something about the taste and the punch of these indicas this is fucking out of this world. Im really suprised that Grey Area hasnt implemented some of the true genetics but then again maybe people in Holland just dont like plants that look like frankenstein purple monstros! haha

i've seen various quotes from various people claiming gp purple kush is not what it claims to be. But a couple of years ago, I can confirm it tasted exactly like purple kush- and anyone who has smoked #proper# us/canada pk will tell you it's an
unmistakable flavour- violet-floral berry flav, completely unlike the grapefruity tang of diesel strains. I haven't been able to go back and re-sample in quite a while so it may have changed. i took a pic of it here

I visited GP on Monday of this week. Before I wnt this time it was not my favourite coffeeshop, had some not-so-good experiences in the past, rude BT's etc. I was with two friends, one bought Lemon Larry (6.5/10 - smelt ok, didnt come through in taste and effects were standard), my other friend bought OG Kush (7.5/10 - smelt and tasted the part, looked a bit scraggly, but it definitely hit us hard!). I got 1g Twizzla hash (i haven't actually smoked it yet but it lookes absolutely lovely.
This place has gone up in my books

I concur. Ive smoked Canadian purple kush and in 2009 green place had a similar product with as you say violet berry flavour. The first batch was much better. It sucked when i tried it this year.

The two above both had the purple taste, the first one alot stronger.
Recently when i had it i didnt like it and it had no 'purple' smell or flacor. it looked like this:

whats the chances of greenplace's PK actually being Grand Daddy Purps - this strain has big bud in genetics, so u would get a better yield but as far as im aware still have the violet taste?
My opinion on GP is that the stock real batches, but when that runs out they just put something else in the tub rather than saying sold out.... og kush/grape ape is an example of this from my xmas trip....

I got some OG kush from there that was not OG kush. The twizzla hash was good, but for the real US OG kush, the best place to go hands down was Voyagers. The smokes I got from the green place were a bit of a disappointment, maybe because I was expecting more, having heard good things about the bud from this place. Pretty chill area to smoke, though.

@marcinmarcin - Yeah, the OG kush from Voyagers was the top smoke of my trip!! It was so sticky and as close to real OG kush that there is in Amsterdam. I smoked a fat blunt of it in front of the train station as my last smoke in the Dam. I love that coffeeshop
The King Kong from there was great as well!! I went there at least 5 times over my trip. Everybody there made me feel so at home each time. I can't wait to go back!
