Man, what can I say? If you are in any way into these forums - go there immediately. Hell, even if you are a human being who likes being in the company of intensely relaxed other humans, immediately go to Nes Cafe just off dam square. Look for the Rho Hotel, go on hurry up. It may be a non-coffeeshop in a coffeeshop thread but that isnt the only unusual thing about this place - DC is one of the nicest blokes you are likely to meet in Amsterdam, and sadly it is quite likely that you may overlook this place like I did until your thirteenth time <extreme sad face> unless I proclaim from the rooftops that if you have ever considered going here, consider no more - go there. You will thank me later.
Thanks DC for that Amnesia Haze spliff and THOSE shots, I will make sure it doesn't go unnoticed during our Amsterdam trip pre-shopping. Don't worry, I won't be sticking any fingers, chocolate or otherwise, in your slot.
Cheers for a good time man, see you in June.

Really many thanks to DC, he is really a great guy, super nice and kind. the place is super chilled with relaxed people playng pool and smoking joints with the beer. beer is nice and cheap for amsterdm standrd and also considering that you are round the corner from dam square. spent in here some hours in 3 differents time smoking with DC and gapie and also my friend last day.

What a lovely place to chill!
Sad I never made it over here before, but I'm not a drinker so I assumed I wouldn't like a bar. My loss. Lovely atmosphere, convenient location, and you can smoke your own. DC seems like a nice guy, although we didn't have long to chat. (Hopefully next trip.)

One of the best places to hang out, have a beer and smoke a bowl. What you see is what you get from DC, no Bull Shit. Wife just loves him, so does the daughter (sorry Dave)

but they do. First guy I met at, the first ACD- 420 and have been friends ever since.

Great bar/smoking area. If he ever leaves....and one day he will, the place will go to pot (no pun intended).

In bars
everybody is replaceable, tell big missus and little missus I said ello!.....and a final Booooo for AC units.

Yer good selves and a few other good selves (you know who you are) were well missed this 420. Though it was good to see the rest of the oul hands and a few new recruits that made it over this year.

Thanks go out for the t-shirt, plaque, big dairy milk bar, loads of fingers, more toad in the hole mix, Tayto goodness and the spud bread etc. Hope everybody had a good time, cos I know I did.
As for how the weitpish will eff..erm...infect 't Nes. Well, considering the main bulk of our customers work within and around the industry that the pass will decimate, I'm not that optimistic about it. Even for small locations like ours the overheads can be quite high, mainly due to Amsterdam being up it's own arse in regards to cost. So even a 25% decrease in business could have us reaching for the snorkle and goggles. We shall wait and see.
By the way, dunno if yas read Stuarts TR closely, but suffices to say there's a huge fat joint sitting here waiting to be claimed.

Going to Nes on the 27th for a beer, a couple of joints and a few games of pool hopefully! If no one has claimed it by then, i'll probably swap the beer for a coke and try to take this monster on with my friend!
