This Bubblegum is not bubblelicious chewing-gummy, though it is fairly sweet. It's a subtle layered parfume-y sweetness, not like the chewing gum sweetness of the typical BG or the (often even gummier) Silver Bubble.
The lack of consistency in this shop is the #1 downside, I think. #2 is the queues, heh.

J's are pounced with a Y like the area jordaan you would say more like yordaan
as orle pointed out to me when I said coffeeshop bij when we met, in dutch it is prounounced buy, I know this but my british friends prounounce it bij and this has always made made me laugh and has sorta stuck as the shops name.

re the Bubblegum, the menu screen said its genetics are:
NL x African Sativa x Grapefruit
Why they slapped the Bubblegum name on it I don't know. Anyway, Love the stuff, the vapor clouds are just too flavorful (too moreish!), strong smiley body-buzz, so leave some for me ye greedy bastards! Haven't seen a worthwhile bit of Kandy Kush in the tubs since I posted about it here!
"Bij" is a great shop name, at least a triple-entendre, what with it being so close "by" Boerejongens and having a bee as the shop's sign

Maybe this has more of a underlying meaning. The genetics at these two shops are way off the ball most of the time than the strains that are commercially available and have been for years, like the bubblegum.
what to bee's do? they pollinate plants, what does this shop seem to be doing in terms of genetics, creating their own.
whoever is behind the growing certainly knows and has a lot of good genetics in terms of landrace

there seems to be a LOT of mixed opinions about this shop! is it worth buying weed there, i mean i know that it is cheap but still there are many mixed reviews from the same members..... so is their cannabis really strong or just good for the prices? because you guys make it sounds like the strains are ok in general, but that the strains are really good for the prices...

Not a bad word to say really, right now the diesel is not the same as old batches, but this sometimes happens in the best of shops.....I still go here every other day to get my smoke based on quality & price, oh and i actually like the service i get here, no one is ever rude to me, BT's are generally patient and have a knowledge of what they are selling. Like they don't bring out the red carpet, but the service is what you would expect.
edit: saying all this, i maybe wouldn't recommend a large groups of tourists to go here filling up the ques and asking to see all the tubs of buds.

Boerejongens, if you are reading this, I'm not happy until:
A larger hash/concentrates menu.
More obscure strains.
Diesel returns.
Longer opening times.
Less queues.
Every BT has tried every batch of every strain.
There's a jukebox

what are the current opening times?

10 til 23 (or 24 in weekend, not sure?). atrocious times
Asked for the tub of White Choco, instant bigtime chocolope aromas wafting in my face. Bought some, is pretty good. Still too much White and not enough Choco (i'm a choco supremacist). Light/medium energetic indica buzz.
Bought a bit of Jungle Haze too, tub looked very fine. Dark-green long sativa buds, it looked more sativa-dom then the current batch of SSH (which were hard large nugs with LOADS of resin).
atm Love Potion is off-the-charts good. It's strong stoning stuff and not so up as a NYC Diesel. Looks, smells, tastes just like a healthy Diesel but more resinous.

but i dont see why you are so unhappy with the opening hours, i feel like those hours are the most common for coffeeshops
