Hello,
visit in November 2010, I was disappointed ... I do not speak good English but I am very polite and respectful, was treated unfriendly, and the worst is that I got the grass into small pieces, his hands seemed grinders! no thanks ...

bought a couple of grams of the s5 haze on the way home yesterday 13e a gram, it was ok not great but not shit either just decent i guess. wont be going there again though, even though it was just on a buy and fly i noticed they still havent got any air con in there ( its a fucking sweatbox) it also had a kind of local feeling to it and i dont mean that in a nice way either. and the budtender that served me was a bit of a dick as well

I'm pretty sure that they have a standing 5 g/ 50E deal on the S-5 like they have the 4g/ 25E deal on the Blueberry.

I've smoked the s-5, and it was beautiful bud. Very very up high, a little racy for my taste. I'd maybe buy it again if it were good, but it's not something that I go out of my way for. (Find their Blueberry Silver Haze delightful but not overly strong.)

I feel that way about MY's weed in general- I always find a few very good weeds there that I'm glad to smoke. End up with a dog or two from time to time, especially if I'm not careful.

If you like their gear, but not the vibe of the shop, try Noon, which is nearby, small, mostly locals, and has the same gear. I especially like noon in the morning.

And, of course, I have to say that I quite like their Sleeze, which is a dank tasting indica (LA Conf X Sour D).

I had the worst coffee shop experience of my life at this place when I was over last month.

I went in on the tuesday morning and bought a gram of the Master Mellow. The budtender was a surly fellow, and when I asked for a coke just thrust a can at me, so I decided to just buy and fly.

A couple of days later I was back in that part of town and thought I'd pop in for a smoke. Didn't need to buy any more to smoke, so just asked for a coke. The budtender said 'don't you want to buy something to smoke' and I said no. Had the can thrust at me again, but I decided to ignore the rudeness and took myself upstairs to have a smoke.

There are 5 or 6 tables in the upstairs part and only 3 were occupied. I sat at an empty one and started to roll a joint. Then the budtender comes up to clear the tables and tells me I can't smoke there because I haven't bought any. 'This is a busy coffee shop and peple come to buy and smoke so you can't smoke stuff that you haven't bought here'.

Well I told him I thought that was bollocks (particularly since the place was half empty), but he wasn't for budging so I finished my drink and left.

I've been going to the dam for 25+ years, and have been in most of the coffeeshops in and around the centre. I have never, ever in all that time been told I had to only smoke their dope.

This place won't suffer from my lack of patronage over the coming years. But I will say here that its a place best avoided until they change their attitude, and every one of my friends that has a Dam trip planned will be warned about their shitty attitude.

And the Master Mellow? Ok, but nothing special.

I will write a trip report detailing the more successful parts of my visit in the next few days.

Fair enough, but I imagine it might get annoying dealing with potheads all day. As far as a shop wanting people to buy product from them in order to smoke there? I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Sorry you had a bad experience but I always liked Mellow Yellow.

it's a great shop to buy-and-fly, you have come in mind that its just that, the budtender are typical ghetto guys from amsterdam. their sativas are good, prices too althought dont vouch for the indicas.

Agreed. The goods are very reasonably priced too especially if you bulk buy

To be fair, he works in a CS, what does he expect to be dealing with? Trappist Monks?

A lot may depend on the time of day too. I stayed in a dump of a hotel round the corner from MY in May '06, couldn't wait to get out in the mornings, so i left the gf sleeping and hit MY when it opened (8 or 9?). The budman was great craic and we shared a few spliffs watching people travelling to work. Mokum is the only city where i'd get jealous watching folk head for the daily grind.
