Strange you have to be buzzed in (does that mean you must buy their weed?). Nice huge place, tons of space downstairs and up and that doesn't include the small main bar which is on a kind of mezzanine level.

btw they have a huge ginger tomcat that bangs against the window to get in!

I don't live in the neighborhood but I must drop by there again sometime soon.
re the buzzing in,in that area, its the same in Carmona and Papillon and now, someone mentioned, at Club Media also...i wonder if there are folk around there that they dont want in ???
Yeah that cat really tries its damndest to get in eh? :D I weren't sure whether to let it in ,but i didn't wanna get a bollocking off the Staff
It got in round the front eventually 8)

Nice little cozy shop. Nice hash selection, but the green wasn't impressive. Worth sitting down and having a coffee if you are in the area, but if you only smoke weed, I would bring my own. Caramello hash was smooth and a nice accompaniment to my morning coffee and stroopwaffle

In some ways this place was my favourite haunt, why?
Well, you can get 5 or 10 or 15 or 20 euro deals. Coffee and drinks cost e 1.5 maximum. Very friendly older man and women running the bar/buds. Only place I saw real old school lebanese, they have White Gold and Red Gold, two variants on it, both crumble into dust when pressure is applied, both had an uplifting clear buzz that I loved. Also I got some lovely strong charas from here, it was called manali i think, defintaley real charas by texture, perfect for daytime smoking, was less impressed with the free sample of the Kashmir he gave me to try, but feebie is a freebie. Seats are always there for the taking, and the top lounge is great with fresh air too! Last but one reason is no knob tourists constantly coming in and out, its much more of a locals place. Last reason is come out and turn right and within 20 paces you are looking at Dams smallest little red light district and the best bum of the trip, on the first girl on the left (she had to have been Brazillian with an arse like that). ..almost tempting

We had a mini meet and greet T & T here, slight problem as it opened an hour after our pre-arranged meeting time, but a couple of us linked up here eventually and smoked the afternoon away..

I can understand someone saying its not outstanding, particularly if you or whoever is less than 40 yrs old or so and missed out on all the lebanese hashes that swamped the UK shores back then ..I probably should have said that its outstanding/nice and strong for a Lebanese type pollen, for its type it was lovely and brought back lots of stony memories. However compared to the modern indoor weeds and indeed stronger blacks I can see it wouldnt wow anyone wanting to get fucked...

Yeah, indeed I'm 21 ^^
But I didn't know it was some lebanese stuff, thought it came from Maroc.
But now that you say it it's true that is had the same kind of taste as the red leb I bought at prix d'Ami

Seems to be a lot of talk about this place on the forums, but ive yet to visit despite having certainly walked by it before.

Anyone got any good recommendations? Seems that the shop is mostly recommended for its hashes, is this right?

Only got to stop in De Graal the once this trip. I stumbled in after a burgermeister for a pre-bed spliff. Picked up a €5 bag of White Widow which made a smooth tasty joint for my packed belly. Perfect for smoking upstairs on the armchairs. Love De Graal.

Another sweet and totally clear menu pic (well 2 actually!) baked, great work. My favourite cs, if not for the menu, for the place, location, staff & clientele.

Called in last week...they had Syrian Hashish,which i've never seen anwhere before,at €18 a g...bought a €20 baggy...its rock hard and slatelike,like some Rockys...its a bit harsh on the throat...head high ,slight body stone...much like a decent Rocky...not too impressed tbh...
I also got a gm of Jamaican Lambsbread and now wish i hadn't...it was very dry, kept going out ,and when it did burn, got black ash...i never did finish that spliff...dumped the remains...so beware  ...
BUT he did recomend the Kashmiri an d when i returned the next day (i always go here for Elevenses)bought €40 Kashmir and yes, beautiful stuff...Highly recomended  Perfect for hanging in this wonderful, comfortable, easy going coffee shop... 8)

Just my 2 cents but the wife and I spent virtually EVERY day at de Graal this past June during the first week of the World Cup and, yeah, it REALLY becomes your favorite shop pretty quickly. The locals that hang out (hey Derek & Marcel!), the staff, the furniture and (of course) the cat. It's cosy, comfortable, serves up great drinks and even better conversation. Nice selection and yes, I too appreciate the the 5 euro bag offerings. Keep an eye on their ever-changing specials (lambsbread? maybe not!), there was an outdoor bud going for, I think, 4 grams for 20euro. It looked amazing but didn't smell too great but it was WAAAY popular with the locals and we toked on a bit and it tasted better (with tobac) then it smelled.

Anyway, the hasj IS alot better than the bud (as you can see by the menu pics) but stop in and a stay awhile... and when your hungry, go two doors down and grab a famous 5 euro pizza (ANY style).

Be back December 5th!
