Got a gram of Dame Blanche for €5, yes it had 10 odd seeds in it but it was a lovely mellow smoke that added a lot of visuals to the stone that I think can only be down to it being outdoor grown, funniest thing though I hadn't picked a lighter up at this point so I asked if she had a spare I could use, nope no fire in a coffeeshop so I had to use the stove in the kitchen out back, the wife had a piece of the 'famous' apple pie and said it was as nice as she's had in Amsterdam.

Master Kush sucked big time but the Hindu Kush was an enjoyable smoke.
No Pie , it was wet outside so a few hours watching the day go by was enjoyable.

Went here this afternoon as I was biking close to Sarphati park. I reminded your posts about outdoor weed at YO-YO....

The place was peaceful. The Hindu Kush perfect to enjoy the sun that was shining on Amsterdam this afternoon.

I had the master kush too, thought it was ok nothing special. Was a bit hard to get too but the weather was nice and there were kids playing around outside too in a little sand pen. She let us sit outside near them to smoke too which was pretty cool.

After we got a sick ice cream from this place, can't remember where but around the corner. Got some pics will post up.

I hope you mean 'sick' in a good way.

My guess would be IJscuypje down the street from Katsu. They have about 10 flavors, all organic, without any preservatives, and they don't skimp on the heavy cream. It's all made fresh daily. I happen to love the fact that it's exactly halfway between Katsu and Club Media, where the 2 streets intersect.

Oddly enough, in the winter, they turn into 'Stampotje', and sell stampot, the traditional mashed potato stew -- very hearty, stick-to-yer-ribs kinda fare with meat and vegetables.

Looking forward to hearing of your adventures Bav -- you defo did a lot of planning for it.

That looks like a good place but this was on a different road. I'll post up the pics tomorrow but it's called 'het ijspaleis' and is on Eerste Sweelinick Straat. I had a big 3 scoop tub too, Hazlenut and Chocolate. Mmmmn

Great coffee shop although not to sure about the kiddies playpark right outside ! it was a lovely day when i visited however i did not feel comfortable lighting up outside , so i just sat in 2g Hindu Kush €10 and 1.7 €10 Skuff .

Overall i still liked the place and will return

got 2 gram of Kush ...! yeah very organic weed! shop look like a huracain hit them and was a gost town just like new orleans!!!

Thanks for this TW, we stopped here, and you just filled in the "what" and "where" gaps in the aul' swede.

I had tried to go to Yo-Yo on several occasions only to find it closed. Well, last Thursday night (10 th June,) just after 1900, I happily strode through the door. The place was empty except for the women that run it who were back by the counter talking. I ask to see the HK and also have a look at the Amnesia Haze which it is explained to me is grown indoor but still organically. Purchase both along with a soda - no coffee as the machine had already been cleaned and I didn't bother to ask about the pie I ask if they are staying open yet for a while and the woman says "yeah sure, you can smoke your joint."

The HK is really nice. Good taste and smooth. It didn't seem super strong but I got a real nice buzz from it. I thought it compared well with the HK from Media and at half the price (5e / gram.) I liked the Amnesia as well and after smoking a half pure joint of each I was pretty high. As I was sitting there a local woman walks in that apparently knows the other women and they talk for a bit and the woman leaves. I just start to polish off the rest of the HK joint when I see a group of men outside across the street. They are all dressed alike in some sort of uniform. Some carry clipboards and one is carrying small box by a handle attached to the top - there are five or six of them. Just as the first enters the shop and says good evening to me in Dutch, I realize that it is the Dutch Police I can't imagine the look on my face.

The rest of the crew file through the door and very politely wish myself and the shopkeepers good evening. All but one officer go to the back of the shop to talk to the managers. I am sitting up in the front corner opposite the door which the remaining officer has now closed and is standing nearby but not really blocking the door. On the inside I am freaking out, I am trying to think if I really have anything to worry about - I'm not too young , didn't buy too much, am not carrying too much, etc. On the outside, I somehow find the composure to just keep on doing what I had been doing. I did not want to act in any suspicious way so I just kept hitting that HK joint until it was done.

I heard the word "inventory" from the back of the shop then a moment later the older of the women came to me an said that it was time for me to leave. I said, " I understand." and gathered up my stuff. As I am leaving I hear the officer by the door say something in Dutch. I turn around and he repeats it and after the usual language arbitration I realize he is asking if I have paid my bill. I tell him yes and he nods and I walk away - now totally freaked-out.

Hopefully, it all worked out for the Yo-Yo folks. It is a really nice shop, very pleasant and comfortable like everyone says. I could do with few less police officers though

I was half expecting you to say that they had made a purchase! but I think I read somewhere that its not allowed even when they are off duty. I also hope all worked out well for Yo-Yo. I've always wanted to try it and i did pass by on my last visit but it was very busy at the time. i also was a bit put off by all the young children playing nearby.
