I've been reading this thread for a while and as I am a seriously opinionated/out spoken person I decided not to post in this thread. but.... FFs what's all this bullshit about about threatening people?. I have NEVER been to Amsterdam so If someone called me a NO trip wonder I wouldn't be offended, I would laught it off.

I have done it on the Internet, made me look like a douchebag, and I have regretted it ever since.
They only way out it to apologize, with no attempts to justify the threat. The only way.

Maybe if we all stood in a circle like the end of that movie Resevoir Dogs smashing each other in the face until Jonsey comes along to tell us no weed pass and this has all been a bad dream. Then we all go off and get stoned in Amsterdam of course.
On a more serious note what would happen to this forum should a weedpass be introduced? I think the topic is worth discussing.
Some drama was always possible with such a big event hanging over our heads.
Now things appeared to have played out to allow nothing much to change besides local officials having a bit more power over the coffeeshop trade we can all relax and perhaps think about what all this was really about.
Maybe it was not the case of actually doing something but APPEARING to be doing something to keep an election promise to 'do something' about 'drug tourism.'
If the government had wanted the weedpass in as a matter of priority it would not leave enforcement in local hands. Think about it. This way the government has 'kept its promises' and can safely pass the buck over to the local administrations.
I would say that if coffeeshops try and increase their lobbying power to avoid similar situations in the future some good might have come from this whole weedpass thing.
Also remember that while the fuss may die down for now the weedpass is still there, waiting to be enforced by the right Mayor/council/government.
