Anyone know what the bas special is ?
I did not find it overly special myself, it was good but for the price a few things in Grey Area were much stronger.
Regardless, great shop and a beautiful spot.

The Bas Special is suppsed to change depending on whatever weed happens to be available at the time. Think of it as a 'Weed of the Month' type of special. In the past, some ACD members have pegged it for being NYC Diesel to some variant of Cheese.
Hope this helps.

Ahh thanks, that makes complete sense.
Is it considered badform to ask what exactly the "special" is ?
The special at Empire in Haarlem is 12eu for 1.8 grams, and was scarily strong .

No arguments what it was when I had it in March, a very heavy stinky NYCD, I had a stinking cold so I couldn't smell a thing but I knew just looking at the buds and once my cold cleared up I knew 100%.

NYCD is one of my faves, but maybe that is my issue, i bought 2gs of the special because it was an Indica and that was what i was looking for.
I consider NYCD a Sativa.

Last time (Jan10) when I had the Basjoe Special it tasted exactly like the LSD Bud from Amnesia.
However, It was definitely a great smoke.

Most of the time I find the 'Special' it to be really good, usually an Indica hybrid. On a couple of occasions I thought there were hints of Diesel, although not as pronounced as mentioned.
The 'Special' I had 2 weeks ago was very nice, something for a mellow afternoon or relaxing evening. The effects of this gear suggests that it's an Indica hybrid although not overly dominant, maybe 60/40, but what the fuck do I know?! '' ''
My first few visits I used to ask James what the 'Special' was, but he would just smile and say that it's a chill-out smoke and that I should try some. I did, have ever since, and never disappointed. Whatever the latest 'Special' was, the price went from the typical 10e to 12e. I wonder if this is a permanent price change? ':(' Sign of the times perhaps?

I always thought there were slight differences in the 'Specials' from time to time although I didn't know it was, as previously mentioned, a 'bud of the month' type of gig. Aside from having some gear last year that had hints of Diesel, the 'Specials' seemed to be the same each time. ''
As for the next 'Special', not sure how good it will be, even at Basjoes. In the past three or so years, I haven't had a decent Strawberry anything. Last year there was some gear floating around that was being called Acapulco Gold. This gear had notes of citrus, most likely some re-branded Strawberry shit weed. I tried a pure joint (15e/gm, no way, no how) and thought it to be a mid-level Indica. White Widow for 7.50/gm puts it to shame. Hope Basjoe's doesn't disappoint.
