on a serious note, where is 'itsmymagicallife'. they normaly weigh in with some hard facts on topics of this nature.
this is not the first time i have seen the subject come up and the general summary is usually its a borderline impossible task, which i imagine would involve being already known in the scene, luck and a few million euro.
on a lighter note a smoker freindly bar could be a real possibility.

I heard the Utopia deal was as dodgey as fuk.

Buying a coffeeshop and getting it going from scratch, in Amsterdam at the minute....if yer not a millionaire.....sounds like scary scary shit to me.

It would take quite some time for me to type all the reasons why, Kermit. There are also things about buying a shop that I would not post online. I think highdro summed it up pretty good:

Thats just a bummer i read through the whole topic getting more and more excited(a CS run by stoners for stoners wow) only to get to the end and have the pipe go out

.Ahh well lets just hope one of the other EU countries get their arses in gear and legalise weed(Irish GOV are ye reading) and then maybe we can get one

ok folks...hand in pocket time....all of us get a ticket for fridays euro lottery...jackpot is 100 million (pounds i hope)..but the point is the jackpot is what we need right now

But there are other alternatives that could bring a similar happiness and sense of fulfillment, not to mention income. Consider buying a place for a B & B in Amsterdam or you could have your coffeeshop/bar/hotel/etc. in Spain where this type of tourism is developing. In either case, you will meet lots of interesting people and remain connected to the coffeeshop culture.
