Thanks Lloydy and Rufus, for the nice words. It's good to know people are enjoying the report. It helps keep me motivated.

(Although the fact that I'm leaving tomorrow and have yet another unfinished report should be motivation, but unfinished reports are clearly becoming a geeky trademark.)

I'm going to tell ya'll about a few things I neglected to photograph. So please forgive the disconnect between the images and the write-up.

Basjoe's OG 18 Special Hash

The Maroc Pollem Hash (1.2g/12e) at Paradox was a lovely example of a pollem hash. Fully spicy flavor, with pronounced clove and cardamom flavors and a light minty eucalyptus finish. Stonier than most pollems, which was exactly what I was looking for. Balanced stone. Nice and clean.

The Maroc Wash Hash (.8g/12e) was even better. The budtender described it as being Isolator style and over 50% thc by volume. It had a much fuller flavor than other isolators I have smoked with a lovely spicy sandalwood and cigar flavor on the inhale and a lovely licorice finish. Its effect was a lovely relaxed deep quiet stoniness that I really enjoyed.

Bagheera's Kushdee

And of course, I wouldn't be in Amsterdam if I didn't get terminated at least once. James positively slathered my joint of bas special on Sunday night. The first inhale was like a bright warm mist rolling in. Watching it bubble and roll down my joint, as my nose and ears got warm, is perhaps my perfect Amsterdam moment. Pain erasing, present erasing. As it sinks in, everything is magnificently slowed, like honey. http://youtu.be/MWr10Ec4Gdg

And I do. I really really do, and he knows it. I've warned him that he would have had his hands full with me if I wasn't so happily married.

it's so lovely to read geeky's descriptions of her smokes ... who else could describe the full flavour of a puff using such unexpected phrases as puppy breath in her blurb ... great stuff ... much funkiness in the writing imo ... almost makes up for not being there myself and instead having to enjoy her smokes by way of the reports ... love the photos too, so thanks for the reporting
I concur!, this read was almost too much fun. Image Thanks Geeky Image

Cisco, it really was. I found another description I wrote of it, when I smoked it as my wake and bake Monday morning, so I might as well share that too as it has a more accurate description of the flavor.

Lime blossoms, green almond, tart lemon and skunk with a flinty, dry, refreshing finish that really lingers. The stone carries a warm weight and a brightening visual effect like the sun easing out from behind the clouds.

Bluebird's Candy Kush

I have never tried this strain before (for the most geeky reason imaginable, which is that it is usually spelled "Kandy Kush" and spelling Candy with a "K" really bugs me.)

When the budtender at Bluebird told me it was good, I actually didn't even ask to see it initially, so I'm so glad he brought it out to me alongside the super silver haze and the blue cheese. I buried my nose in the bag, expecting something sweet and instead I was greeted by a strong aroma of caraway and anise seed with an undertone of funky feet.

Yum.

The flavor was spicy savory and funky, with top notes of sour cherry, dark chocolate, and port wine with a kushy skunk note on the finish. The stone was magnificently heavy, narcotic and forgetful. I must smoke more of this.

It's gotten me to thinking that this trip is an excellent time for a kush-off.

I have to be honest, I've smoked G-13 before a few times, and I never really understood why people were so gaga for it, so when James told me the G-13 was really good, I wasn't expecting much.

Image
Basjoe's G13

It had a very pure haze smell, that rich blend of grapes and fruit blossoms, but without the sweetness that seems to dominate so many of the hazes these days. It had a rich haze flavor with a strong taste of grapefruit with a hint of fennel and grape on the inhale. The high was lovely. Soaring, social, present, with a warm tingly body stone to help keep me grounded. Now I get it.

Thanks @Rob, that smiley-face emoticons is hilarious. I'm glad you enjoyed the report so far.

:D :) :D :) :D

Whooohooo! That's all that I smoked last trip. Leaving for the airport in less than 3 hours, on the ground in the 'dam in 6.

Life is very good right now, I feel really lucky.

I think I'll roll the next trip report into this one, as I still have a few tales to tell.

Keep rolling my party peoples. More fun coming soon.

Geeky reading your trip reports has literally become an obsession of mine! Nothing better then sitting back with a fat joint and flicking through your travelogues :)

That G13 from basjoes looks incredible...one of my favourites so I'll definitley be keeping a look out for it next thursday..... From the different cheese's you tried which was your favourite??? That So Gouda from Voyagers looks absolutley delicious! But I've been hearing great things about 1eHulps Cheese also........

Love how you can get so much detail into your reports.....I hope you continue to contribute here for years to come...its people like you that get me excited for my own trips! Your so enthusiastic about everything!

Moogle- Voyager's is out of cheese right now, but the silver bubble is slamming and will be in for awhile. 1e Hulp's Buddha Cheese is fantastic and a deal at 10e/g. James has some amazing indica-skunky cheese that is 15e/g, but worth it.

Thanks for the compliments, it's good to know people are enjoying these. I just love good weed so much that it's fun to share. More soon.

Bought more of this today:

Smoking Basjoe's cheese joint with Basjoe's isolator, which seems to be quite a deal at 30e/g. Super stoney and bright and peppy all at the same time. Beautiful weather here and we're going to have fun tonight!
