And now for the results from my Very Geeky Amnesia Haze taste-off.
(For the true geeks out there, the weeds were seeded and then tasted from last to first. There was some movement in the final placings. Weeds were smoked out of a glass bowl, approximately .15g per bowl. They were sampled at least 20 minutes apart, so that individual effects could be determined. I was totally fucked up when I started, so I consider the playing field pretty level. I've included my tasting notes from the judging.)

Club Media’s Amnesia Haze
7th Place- Club Media (9.25e/g) Lime candy and pear smell. Drier Cure, but not over-dried. Lightly tart flavor with limey exhale. Nice effect with a slight balancing body stone. Strong. Really decent, great price. Would gladly smoke this again.

1e Hulp’s Amnesia Haze
6th Place- 1e Hulp (10e/g). Relatively light smell and taste but really pleasant. High was very up and a little bit racy. Cool body effect. It was razor close between 5th, 6th, and 7th place. Another weed I’d be glad to buy again.

Hugo de Groot’s Amnesia Haze
5th Place- Hugo de Groot (10e/g) Pleasant tart lime and rosemary smell. Full spicy flavor to the smoke. Nice balanced high. Yum Amnesia Haze, still love you.

Boerenjongen’s Amnesia Haze
4th Place- Boerenjongens (9.50e/g) Nice smell and feel. Tremendous bag appeal with glistening swollen trichomes. Missed the top three only because they tasted a bit better. The flavor of this one was just a wee bit indistinct. But it was so good. And a deal. Love this shop.

The horror is that I didn't try Voyager's Amnesia- I don't know how I missed it (probably because I was incredibly high).

It sounds like you had a fun trip. We're heading back in late August for another week and I'm already counting down.
My husband was reading the war book. He actually studies/writes on war and international relations (he's a PhD not a medical Dr.) I'm a big politics geek too. Our apartment this time was clearly owned by a kindred spirit as he had an awesome book collection.
Hopefully our paths will cross in the 'dam at some point. Would love to meet you!

Oops
I guess I waited too long to build suspense and just long enough to be pointless. (Sorry, life interrupted and I haven't had time for ACDing in the last few months.)
I will, however, try to make it up to all of you with some good reporting coming soon. My Mr just gave me the best present in the world! Tickets for a short trip to the 'dam, so get ready for some more stoned fun- September 3-5.
And that will just be a warm up, because our tickets and apartment are already booked for a full week, September 29-October 6!!!
I am the luckiest geek alive.
Now it's time to catch up with what's going on with y'all, which I'm really looking forward to!
If anyone wants to get together for a t & t, just let me know.
Peace,
Geeky
