Your totally right , yes when using that word you can get 2 short separate sentences out of it , ( correct me if i'm wrong ) you must have been HIGH to catch that ! I'm going to have to edit that post because I'm such a perfectionist ! What's the three reasons Freud would have ?

Ok- the three reasons Freud would have a field day with the sentence:

"Every woman is a whore accept your mother "!

First- It is a Freudian slip, meaning that the sentence has a subconscious (sexual) double meaning that is revealed by the slip of your tongue. In this case, you meant to say was 'every woman is a whore "EXCEPT" (but) your mother', and what you said was, 'every woman is a whore, "accept"(come to terms with) the fact that your mother therefor is also a whore'.

Second- Freud's analysis of human sexual development involved a passage through an Oedipal stage, that is highlighted by the double meaning of the typo. According to Freud, all men go though a stage where they can not stand that they must share their mother with their father, and subconsciously desire to kill their father due to their latent sexual desire to posses their mother exclusively. i.e., an inability to "accept" their mother has sex with their father (is a whore) and a need to view their mother as the "except"ion to the category of women who have sex (are whores).

Third- Freud's belief was that all deviant sexual behavior comes from a failure to properly reconcile the conflicted feelings and impulses created by each of his developmental stages. Different sexual and psychological problems spring from failures to properly move through individual developmental stages. I believe a freudian psychoanalytic therapist would interpret the original freudian slip to be indicative of the speaker's conflicted feelings about his own Oedipal impulses.

See, I told you I was a geek. Also, I don't actually believe any of the analysis above, I just explained what Freud's theories would say about that particular typo. I think psychoanalysis is crap, and Frued's work only indicative of the impulses that motivated his own mental problems and sexual deviance.
