has anyone ever stayed in the bulldog hostel amsterdam?

what is it like? can you smoke weed in the hostel? does it sell weed in the hostel? does it sell alchol?

i think you would prefer zeeburg camping and stay in one of there cabins or wagonettes its very cheap you can smoke openly here as well they have a bar and vending machines with beer in them bulldog coffeeshps are really bad so i think there hotel would be the same have a look in hotel section in forum it might be listed there with up to date reviews

had a little read on hostels and bulldog doesnt look great but meeting place and plying pig hostels seemed much better

My mates stayed in a private room in the Bulldog hostel up by the RLD just last weekend when I was there as well. They said it was fine, but no smoking in the room. Smoking downstairs in the bar was fine, pretty much encouraged and they sell alcohol and food. There is a Bulldog coffeeshop literally next door that sells weed but you'd be better off walking the 5 minutes or so it would take to get to Old Church, Basjoe or Green Place.

i met some dudes here in seattle while smoking cigs after the barca match. the topic of amsterdam and coffeeshops came up which sparked a debate. they mentioned they stayed in the bulldog and how nice it was. i have never stayed there though. heard the flying pig was nice.

bulldog hostel is great, smoke all you want in the bar, good food, plenty of shops nearby, though there are better than bulldog cs itself
no smoking in the rooms, sometimes in a private rm if u open the window
