Short report

Post by Neuro »

Don't know if I'll have time for a longer one with so much crap to catch up on that was neglected in anticipation for the Dam. Arrived midday last Saturday and made straight for Amnesia. Stopped first at the Grey Area and picked up a gram each of Yellow Cab, Cherry Bomb and two grams of the Grey Mist Crystals. Also picked up something new on the menu (C something or another) which turned out to be the best of the bag. The Yellow Cab was not as it has been and the Cherry Bomb just didn't really float my boat. Anyway.., from there it was on to Amnesia where I was disapointed to find they were out of the Sour Diesel which is one of my favorites so we settled for a few grams of their Mango Haze which was good but not great as well as a gram of the Brainticket. Being jetlagged to shit, it was a short time before we headed back to the Hotel to pass out for a while before going out for dinner and a gram of Blueberry before bed. The next day was museum time after my planned stop at Katsu. For the life of me I can't figure out why I have never made it there before. The budtender was a really sweet older woman who recommended their Hawaiian Haze and the Haze Ice hash which we purchased along with some Killer Green and some of the Crystal Clear hash. Everything was fucking amazing. The music was chill, and the clientele and the staff were nice as hell. Will definitely be spending some serious time in this establishment in the future. After all the sight seeing etc., we stopped in at Homegrown Fantasy for some really nice Snow White. This place used to be good for the music but after the crappy rap that was so prevalent this time, I think it will be a long time before I darken their doorstep again. Woke up for our last full day in the Dam and figured out where better to start than at Barney's with some Love Potion #1 (very tasty), and some Sweettooth and 2 grams of the Barney Rubble for later. Spent the rest of the day just idly wandering and seeing the sights until that afternoon when we met up w/ Doog at Sensi seeds and then heading to Greenhouse Centrum for a few beers. Bought some nice Buddah's Sister which we sampled before leaving the rest w/ Doog along w/ the remnants of the Grey Mist Crystals. (Doog, my man, ya looked kind of shaky. I hope you made it through the rest of the day.) Anyway, after De Kuil again at night for some more Blueberry and some Super Silver Haze we hit the hay before waking the next morning to smoke all the remnants before catching our flight. What a great trip as always. Special thanks to those who pushed Katsu as a really great idea.

Short ... but to the point.
Quite a few points actually...you sure can smoke!
Sounds like a great time was had and Katsu seems very inviting.

Just out of curiosity was it the young blonde dutch lady working in Homegrown Fantasy when the crap music was being played? If so she nearly put me off the place as well, luckily the last time I went it was the english guy working and he plays the better music!

Cheers for the report!

Nice to hear that the older Blonde at Katsu is still treating people as they should be treated, not to mention the gear.

Katsu will be my home base in 3 short weeks and although they're a little spendier than some, the quality is second to none. Glad nothing has changed since last year.

Mmmmmmm, Sour Diesel.

I suppose the people in Sensi were probably thinking the same thing about me each time I was there and that's why they were kinda hassling me to get drinks and stuff or go. I think anyone travelling alone and going to places along might experience the same problems depending on their ability to handle the smoke.

Great report Neuro, wish I could have packed all mine into one post instead of the seven or eight different ones I used. Glad you had a good time.

Great report Neuro :)

Will put Katsu on my list of coffeeshops to visit in May - it sounds like my kind of place.

No, it was a younger guy but I don't think he was English. Anyway.. the music was foul. :x
