I have a personal request of Lemming which I feel many people would be in agreement with. I would like a Cannabis Cup section in the forum, im planning on attending and I feel it would be much easier for everyone to coordinate Crawls/Meet & Greets/Housing and general C.C activities if it were to have its own Section. Im in the midst of trying to figure out where I will be staying for the C.C and who I will be chilling with and I feel that everyone can discuss this amazing time in the Dam with ease if it has its own devoted section. Just a thought, im going to make a poll to see if anyone agrees/disagrees.

Im looking to share an apt with fellow ACD'ers for the Cup, if anyone is interested in this let me know!

Personally, I don't think it's a bad idea at all. I'm sure the "Travel Plans (Before)" section will be full of threads inquiring about the event. This would also keep the specific M&Gs seperate from the others that are going to be around the CC dates as well.
That being said, if you create a CC section then the 420 people will want a section as well. I know there are a ton of members who travel over for that specific week or so. Therefore, I propose that one section be designated for CC and 420 together. Two big events with dates that are far enough apart so the threads shouldn't run in to each other. That's my vote.
BTW, Rasa...we would love to share an apartment with you but seeing as how we just returned it'd be difficult to accrue the funds and get the time off again

As people will want the 420 discussion and CC discussions, lots of people interested in Queens day, why not make a Special Events section, for certain specified event discussions. For a start the events could be 420, CC, Queens Day, New Year.
If any other events similar to those, they could also be written in the forum. Only thing i would say is to define which events do come under special events before hand

I’m not ruling this idea out but, so far, I’m not really convinced.
420 and the Cannabis Cup are cannabis-related but New Year and Queen’s Day? So then we add Christmas, Easter, Mayday and so on and before long we just have another Travel Plans section. After all, the date you are going to Amsterdam is the most important date on your calendar whenever it might be.
As I said, I can move threads so, if Travel Plans becomes swamped with threads about the CC or whatever, then I can create a new section and move all of the threads there. At the moment, however, I don’t see any sign of that happening. In fact, nobody has even taken up my invitation to start an “official” CC thread that I can make sticky!

This is a tough one. I see Lemmings point and agree to a point but also with Rasa on this one too.
A CC thread could work just as well as the 420 one of last year, maybe. Also, if it attracts more members then it can't be a bad thing imo. Granted, gaining awareness of the thread seems like a long haul from customs, but it won't be long before google will display a snapshot of it sooner or later...
