Sounds good...anyone is welcome to join in as the more the merrier! I was thinking perhaps HGF at 9 for a smoke and then later if anyone is up for a beer or fresh air, we could take it to the back deck on the water at the Grasshopper? It's smoke friendly as well.

Preliminary Plans

Post by HighJackerrr »

OK, Arriving in 4 days...on Friday, early afternoon. First things first, meeting the lady I am renting the apartment from and once that's sorted out, heading directly to Basjoes. After having read through some posts and having sought advice, I am going to try some of their Heavenly Haze as well as some their Royal hash. Since it will be fairly early in the day, hopefully this will keep me feeling "up" for a while and prevent the need for a nap later. I am hoping for nice weather as I would like to sit outside and chill with a coffee and a cigarette as well. Nest stop...Stix, the one over near Nieumarkt. I walked by there a couple of months ago and if it wasn't for the fact I was getting ready to head to the airport that day, I would have stopped in. I really want to visit some shops with a "locals" vibe this time, without venturing too far out of the city...which I just may do on Sunday anyway, for a change. I will take Friday night as it comes, and am always up for ideas. (Anyone have any??)

Saturday, weather permitting, out all day, probably on a bicycle and just out to explore on two wheels and a cool buzz when it suits me. Maybe I will visit the Bluebird...heard nice things about it and again, another place I passed by last time, but didn't stop in. Perhaps I will, head over into the Jordaan and see what's the vbe over at Paradox and Sanementereng. (Local vibe, remember) Otherwise, the day I will take as it comes to me.

Saturday evening, thinking about heading over to HGF at 9...anyone care to meet up for the hell of it? Later, and weather permitting, maybe going for a beer over on the back deck of the Grasshopper. The dock and waterfront can be nice when it's "chill-thirty." Besides, decent place to get a beer and still be able to burn what's in my own bag.

Sunday...maybe over to Haarlem or maybe a ride up to Zaanse Schans to check out the windmills. Anything else will be spontaneous. Monday, heading down to Brussels after lunch.

I am up for comments, ideas, suggestions, etc for any of these days. If you're in town and want to meet up, let me know!

I'll be there this weekend as well, second time for me. I'm game for a meetup at HGF, sounds like a lot of fun. Do we need to wear name tags or something? Hahaha
