Do they sell cold beer at bars or stores in AMS?

Of course though I have noticed that when it is sold cold in stores it cost a few cents more.

this thread should be in travel plans.. not travlogues..

travelogues is for trip reports and stuff after your trip... pretty simple really.

pretty easy answer to your question as amsterdam has thousands of bars all over the city and unless your buying a beer that should be served at room temperature or whatever your beer will be cold..

Sorry for the stupid question, but a few people told me that they drink room temp beer in most European countries. I have never been, so I had to ask. Thanks for the answers.

Valo, that place you found looks really fun. I'll check it out.

I was told the same thing before I went to Germany. I then realized that we (Americans) due, for the most part, drink colder beer. I think this only applies to the crap beers though.

depends on the beer - some are supposed to be drank at room temp. I would imagine most lagers will be served chilled though.

Ale's and some bitters should be drunk at room temperature. Lagers on the other hand should be chilled...

I noticed that some bars have extra cold heineken on draft for an example Red Light bar

Have a look at t'IJ website great microbrewery http://www.brouwerijhetij.nl/producten_en.htm

On site is recommended drinking temperature for beers

Yeah geoffk i realized the same thing in the 70's when i was stationed in Germany, we Americans are the cold cold beer lovers over the most part cause i did a lot of traveling in the military overseas same most places. Lol. :roll:
