some people are just honest like that. my dad worked at the airport and when he was on break once he found $10,000 and he returned it. i know if i found the cash..not sure what id do. would like to think id return it. i know if i lost alot of money id like to have it returned to me. guess it depends on the situation.
educating myself and waiting for the next trip.

Couple of years ago, i wa queing 10 minutes at the cash machine, when my turn came to use the machine, I put my bank card in , selected £60, took the card out and left without taking the cash, there was loads of people behind me in the queue, but no one call ed me to say "sir, you forgot to take your cash out".

I feel for ya. Truely.

True story, I once chased after a guy who had walked away from the cash machine, without taking his money. A big ass wad too, maybe half a grand! He had got into his car, and almost pulled out of the garage. He stopped when he seen me waving like a lunatic in his rear view mirror.
He was absolutly delighted. I'd go as far as to say I probably made his day. And ofcourse, I refused to accept the crisp £20 he offered me as a thank you. The relief on his face was more than enough reward.
My mum and Dad raised me with Morals folks, nothing wrong with that.

( This happend at the Shell garage, at Crew Toll, North Edinburgh, maybe 4 years ago.......It was a Friday, about 12PM........Just incase the driver of that car reads this  )
Endure

thats a bit different situation tho.

these kids just found this cash and had no idea who it belonged to. also how will the police return the money when they have no idea who it belongs to either.

i doubt someone would come and get the cash as im sure its drug related money or something else similar where the people will not be going to the police to get back there money.

at least thats the way i look at it. if i see someoen drop money or leave money behind its a no brainer to make them aware that they have left something behind. but when no one can claim it and there is no way to return it to the original owner.. then consider it your lucky day and go book your next trip to amsterdam
