Restaurants open over Xmas?

Post by ivorytusk »

Hi everybody,
Just wondering....where could one go to have a nice meal on Xmas day? Are there any websites that tell you what restaurants are open and offer special Xmas menus?

Also, does anyone know what would be a good way to spend Xmas day? Are there any live shows or music anywhere?

Thanks! :)

most restaurants are open during christmas, cause those are the money days :D how much do you want to spend? amsterdam offers some great notch restaurants, but they are pricy!

http://www.cielbleu.nl/en/Home.html

http://www.yamazato.nl/en/Home.html

both located in the okura hotel. cielblue has a two star rating. the yamazato a one star!

also rated one star, but my favourite since they offer cheese by anthony bernhard. we offer the same and it just is the best. nothing can compare worldwide.

Just so you know, Dutch people are extremely good in English. You won't have any problems with that anywhere in the Netherlands.
Most people spend christmas with family, but probably they are some great parties in clubs and stuff. It's a little too early for that though

I have spent many Christmas's in Amsterdam, and it is not like England where everything shuts. Most shops, restaurants and coffeeshops are open as normal. The beauty is the city isn't packed with tourists...
