How not to get hit by a bike
this document may be found in the excellent S G Collins website recommended by FlyByNite for first-time visitors to amsterdam
imho reading this document is the very most important preparation you can do to ensure your own safety in amsterdam traffic, because being hit by a bicycle could ruin your day ...
if you have already read the document, then thanks, but if not, then please please read before you arrive, and thanks
have a great trip ...

thanks to all of you for the welcome . . we'll be there on the weekend of 15th 16th 17th , flying back on the 18th of january . i have just read the " how not to get hit by a bike " article . . and i have to admit it wasnt the 1st concern that came to mind on planning the trip , so thanks for the tip . any hints on how much spending money will be required for the duration ? the genereal concensus at the moment is 2-300 euros , and at the moment we plan on a little sight seeing too , tho ive a sneaking suspicion this will revert to a coffeshop crawl . and why not !!! january just cant come quick enough , cancel crimbo , scrub hogmany , just get me to the dam on time !!!FlyByNite wrote:Welcome to the forum.
