The troll is Shezz from the Channels web site. I believe he lived in Amsterdam for a short stint before returning back to the UK, where all the drugs and lifestyle got too much for him over there and not just weed. He got banned from the site and hangs out in the anonymous guest section over there, but seems to be compelled to hang out here as well now by the looks of it. Well, that's my guess that it's Shezz unless someone else knows different.

Indeed I think that by reacting to a troll they are being given exactly what they want. Attention.
Now in reaction to the original subject please let me contribute a differing viewpoint.

While we don't always want to face up to it there IS an ugly side to human existance and it is often reflected in the policies of far right (and left) parties. There are loads and loads of rascists/bigots in the UK and elsewhere. Just because people are not allowed to describe any person in any way whatsoever from a physical perspective does not stop them from thinking from a certain viewpoint.

Luckily for us in the UK we have a rather stupid and ugly leader of our most popular far right party.
Imagine if the far right party in the UK had a charismatic, charming, television friendly leader with no blots in his/her past?

Imagine if the party itself had more sensible (from a political perspective) populist policies that encompassed nationalistic beliefs ie - UK vs Europe and the world and immigration while being more inclusive so as not to make it an easy target for the left.

Quite frankly the far right's policies are usually so daft a 7 year old could pick them apart and their leader who appeared on Question Time is so gaffe prone he should have his foot permanently inserted into his mouth. The best thing that could have happened on his question time appearance would be that he would be allowed to speak so he could dig himself and his party into the deepest hole possible.

Even with the disadvantages that I have outlined the party in question still got about a million votes give or take last euro elections. How many of those million people admitted to voting for them you might wonder? Imagine if it became acceptable to vote for a far right wing party?

It is only with electoral reform that such a political party could ever gain a foothold in UK politics and probably the best argument against proportional representation in some form would be the threat of a far right alliance not run by lunatics actually having a chance to be in power in some way in the not too distant future.

Without electoral reform the party in question would never had a platform on the BBC to peddle their vile viewpoint for instance.
It was really sweet to hear that anti rascism protesters had tried to block this persons transport to the television studio. However in my view their efforts would be better served trying to educate the million or so people who gave that individual a chance to appear on the BBC in the first place and many millions more who might be scared enough to go down such a path in the future.

This i think is a very important point. It relates, imo, to disengagment by low income white families who feel disconnected from the state. Whether this is their own doing is another issue

Indeed. However i think Giffin is a respectable face, at least in comparison to the rest of the members of his party.

The thing is, the basis of the party means they cannot have such policies. Their policies, bar none, are extreme and cannot work or will not benifit.

I think he played a clever game on QT, he seemed to be attacked and played the whole ' Everyone's against me ' card. The panel, in particular the Tori and Labour contingent were to concerned with attacking each other than the BNP. The audience done a good job, but they didn't approach it in the right way. They needed to ask questions, they didn't, they talked at him. It was a huge missed oppurtuinty imo.

I was disgusted at the protests. Freedom of speech comes with negative aspects. He had a right to speak. The violence at the gates at the BBC gives a basis for his claim the left is violent and out to hurt people.
