to be honest i haven't found any trainwreck in amsterdam that compared to the stuff available in cali and oregon.....but i like greenhouses version for stability in strain and reliable germing......what i grew last year wasn't bad,not a patch on the west coast stuff but still too good to share all the same
ok got it. been using a cabinet with exhaust thru carbon filter. works quite well.metal4mullets wrote:Go for it!murmann wrote:alright so i'm gonna add trainwreck to my shopping list.
Be warned, though...it smells quite badly. I can't even say it's a pleasant smell at that. Strange, really...but very strong. Make sure you have adequate odor-control in place.
I have used Dutch Passion exclusively since 2006 and with great success. Out of 30 seeds (Super Haze, Orange Bud, Skunk Passion), only one went hermie. Mother nature, what can you do? The hermie, which I castrated as best as I could, produced nearly 70 grams of excellent Orange Bud, and a couple of seeds as well.
When using a reliable source, I like my odds of having a female with a feminized seed than the old school method of plant and pray.
A great step has recently been realized in which breeders perfected auto-flowering feminized plants. Now they need to work on increasing potency.
Plant a seed
Peace

auto flowering plants are a cool invention, but I feel that feminized seeds grown with a full growth and bloom time/feed schedule, will give you better results per plant. In my experience, dwarf varieties don't yield much per plant, when compared to varieties which do not auto-flower. Oh, yes, the dwarf varieties do enjoy better yields in SoG systems but there are still better plants to consider for these systems...
... the only real advantage I see with dwarf/auto flowering strains, is that they finish very fast, as quick as 8 weeks from seed to harvest? sounds ridiculous, but it isn't!
there's a lot to consider, when buying your next batch of seeds...

so, its been almost a year. ended up with chocolope and rocklock both from dna. both fem. seeds. first grew the rocklock. rockwoolcubes useing gh nutes, in a fill and drain system. didn't like taste or smell. buzz was ok.
grew chocolope next. in coco useing gh nutes. liked taste and smell. sweet and fruity. buzz was so so. kinda short.
nice to try differant stuff but seems like i always end up back with bubblegum and ak-47. both from serious seeds
