Space Doubt's criticism of your musical tastes was maybe a little too strong and he definitely didn't need to include the bit about Germans having no clue about music whatsoever.

What people have to realise is that this is a forum and there will be times when people disagree with other members. The Off Topic Subjects is probably going to be the place where most disagreements will take place because basically any subject can be discussed and it doesn't have to be relevant to any part of the coffeeshop/Amsterdam scene.

Other people on the forum have said that if you don't say anything nice then you shouldn't say anything at all but it's not always as simple as that when it comes to opinions and that's what this forum and any other forum is all about.

People should try not to take it so seriously all the time.

Although you have a very valid point, i feel i have a solid counterpoint.
We are at a point in the life of this forum when things of this nature start to take place. One way to handle it is along the lines you mentioned, essentially just dealing with it and/or ignoring the offenders. Another option (in my opinion the outcome i'd like to see happen here) is that WE as a forum of grown mature rational adults decide what will and will not be tolerated, and remove offenders from OUR community.

The whole thing is quite sad and pathetic really, but i feel like if someone can't control themselves in a reasonable manner why should we just tolerate it.

And i won't even get started on the racial comments...that alone is enough to remove this character, IMO.

Lemming i'd love to hear your opinion on this.

REMOVAL

I agree that actions like this should not be tolerated..This forum is to good to be smudged by someone ignorantly hurting people..I have seen many nations represented here and that is what makes this forum great we can all come together in a common passion :!: BIG UPS TO ALL ACDers :!: :!:

HAVE A GREAT TIME AT 420..
SEE YOU IN JAN :!:

The funniest thing is that I am AMERICAN!!!! I am from Boston...I love ACD, but it makes no sense to message me something like that.

Now I am receiving messages that my music is generic and I have no talent. Thanks.

Leave me alone.

....My music is anything except generic!

HOLD THE FUCK UP A MINUTE

WHAT RACIST COMMENTS???? Germans aren't a race just like english and american aren't, they are all causcasian and part of the same race.

Instead of trolling his topic I thought I'd express my opinion to him in private..it seems some people think posting a message I sent them in private will bother me....nice try but no cookie...the reason I keep it private is to not derail threads..now I will promise not to send anymore pms and will post in public 100% and I will tone it down.

I didn't realise people are so sensitive, never heard the saying "sticks and stones will break my bones but names will never hurt me" and if krypto wnat to get anywhere in the music biz he must learn to not take things to heart....

Listen Space, I was in the music biz for 10 yrs before I came to Holland and most people in it know the meaning of the word 'constructive' because their opinions are normally based on experience. Can you say the same?

Straight from the dictionary....

race.

1. A local geographic or global human population distinguished as a more or less distinct group by genetically transmitted physical characteristics.

2. A group of people united or classified together on the basis of common history, nationality, or geographic distribution: the German race.

3. A genealogical line; a lineage.

4. Humans considered as a group.

So yeah, while some ppl can be and sometimes are a little sensitive my advice would be to try putting your brain into gear first, before attempting to drive your mouth!.....or stay off the meds mate, cos they aint workin!

No I am not, please people stop saying you worked in the music biz as if that actuallly counts for anything, I believe kryptos music is genreric becuase it sounds like an awful lot of stuff out there but thats not necessarily an insult. I did some work with a couple of dj's a few years back(kaos and lush)so I thnk I know enough to offer an objective opinion.
