I’m not that old!! Oh well, anything that’s rock’n’roll’s fine...

All of the others are from the United Police State of America where tokers are still sent to Guantanamo Bay :(. They are, understandably, a bit reluctant to be identified. OHD and BlueBerry are the only ones prepared to be shown.
BlueBerry has some great pictures of everyone in de Kuil on 20th April but, sadly, I can’t put them on here for the same reason.
Just been watching OHD's DVD of the occasion too - excellent stuff! I guess you'll have to go to his shop in Florida if you want to get a copy.

Lemming, I don't have a problem showing my face. I think that it was some of the others that didn't want their mugs shown. I'm not wanted for anything, as far as I know. Thanks anyway for playing it safe. AzLaker 8)

That's even funnier than Stygian23's Tom Petty remark.

I suppose the OHD/BB photo was only put up because they were just posing for the camera but surely things can't be SO BAD (or can they?) that American people actually fear for their freedom when a photo of them smoking marijuana in Amsterdam in government controlled surroundings is published on the internet.

That's the funniest of the lot but not in the ha ha sense of the word.

I can't really say anything about photographs because I didn't come back with any from my last trip and I was there for a whole week. My advice is if you're gonna take a camera then do yourself a favour and make sure it's not a Vivitar Vivicam3720.

The pictures I took were disappointing to say the least and I gave up after two or three shots of nothing in particular.

Actually Doog the 3 people that didn't want their faces shown, 1 was an American, the 2nd was from the UK and the 3rd was from the Netherlands. Unfortunately most of society still frowns on a well repected person from getting high and if someone saw their faces on the internet, a job could be on the line. I respect their decision for not wanting their face shown. Hopefully in your life time that will change. I'm 50 and I thought 30 years ago that American laws would loosen up. WRONG!! That's why we all come to the Netherlands, so we can be ourselves, smoke pot and not worry about getting busted over a simple plant. AzLaker 8)

I have to go back to my previous statement now and add that you can never really know who is lurking on this site and what kind of interest they will take in photographs posted here or on the hosting websites that many members use.

I, for one, wouldn't really mind my mugshot being displayed for all to see as long as I had seen the photo before it was posted on the net.

Hey Guys

I am one of the people who AZ refers to from the UK who would prefer their pic not to appear on the sight. I hold a senior position in a large company and am in charge of a workforce of +/- 750.
We all have skeletons in our closets, I prefer to keep them there. Unfortunately we have to abide by the law of the land and when inducting new staff, one of the things they are told is that they can't turn up to work under the influence of drink or drugs, how would it look if one or the new recruits were to recognise me from a photo with a doobie sticking out of my mouth.
I do not hide the fact that I go to Amsterdam, infact I have been with other work mates, but the rule is no photos and what goes on tour stays on tour
So if u want to see my beautiful face, be in the Dam 4/20/07

Sorry mate, but you have it wrong :-)

For me, this was totally about work. On the highly unlikely chance someone would stumble across the photo, it could have repercussions. I have a very high internet profile in one aspect of what I do, and it is entirely possible someone would recognize me.

It has absolutely nothing to do with the government or law enforcement.

While cannabis is still (mostly) illegal here, no one is being busted for toking up in Amsterdam. OTOH present and potential future employers/clients may have a real problem with it.

I think any responsible person in my position, particularly with an extremely high internet profile in a small profession, would not want to be identified.

And many thanks for respecting my wishes.

.......currently planning a September trip for, oh, say, ten days...........

.......and will start looking at next April airfares as soon as they are available :-)

YEP! same for me.
People can assume whatever they want about me based on what i look like to them.....a picture would just be evidence proving (or dis-proving, in a few rare circumstances).

Hey Lafe, looks like I'll see you there.

I agree fully with your coments too, I don't think my employer would be over the moon should they find out.

... not unless he was a toker too
