The Unit

I've been watching this new show "The Unit" for a few weeks, and each week I am surprised by how good it is. Like any show, they do tons of things that experts in the field (in this case, the military) would cringe or groan at, but as an amateur I'm able to ignore that in favor of the good parts. Each episode has a plot, and that plot has closure, but there are subplots that span multiple episodes, and things that happen in one episode are referred to in later episodes. Characterization actually occurs. Themes like loyalty and duty are emphasized (in the keeping as well as in the breaking.) The military is portrayed in a positive light.

Anyway, if you haven't seen it and like the above, I recommend giving it a try.
