I have used René's service for about a year, here and there. Yes, expensive. I never saw a bot about it, I dont even remember how I stumbled across it.

I will speak highly of René. He is a very very kind gentleman, who provides a service you wont find elsewhere in the US. You have not only hash, but a selection of hashes to choose from. Compare the expense with the trip to Amsterdam to buy hash from a menu (as far as I know the Netherlands are the only place).

In this area hash springs up for a month here and there, but theres whatever kind that's going around, and unless its bubble, its not amazing. Nice...not amazing.

Reliability has been 100%, quality as well. Id rather have cheaper hash, but Id rather pay a bit more as opposed to not having hash at all.

Sum it up...if you can spare the cost, you can trust with confidence. Ive mailed good sized amounts of cash to him, and I wouldn't hesitate to show that same trust anytime. He isn't a huckster in the slightest.

Sorry if reviving this thread irritates anyone. I think Rene's out of action at the moment due to ill health. I've been waiting two weeks since my "on its way" email, but fortunately I'm off for a daytrip next week and will do some posting myself, so will wait the 4 weeks before emailing him again.

I'm quite happy to trust him; it's the thieving UK posties I'm unsure of. They had my last Budmail order, I'm sure - £250 a couple of years back, after trouble-free deliveries for 2 years at another address. Then Budmail stopped delivering.

This is my first order direct from Rene - a friend has ordered for both of us before - so I'll let you know how it goes.

The best thing I can tell you on your shipment, is to be patient. He may have mailed it over a week ago, and its sitting in a bin in customs. I've had orders take 3.5 weeks, but 2 weeks was more the norm. René being sick would have no bearing. He also travels extensively. He has others helping in this, so him being ill wouldn't change much. Having dealt with him for some time, I wouldn't worry, and in the worst case, do the 4 week contact, and a replacement will be sent. I never had to do that, but I never found much reason to doubt him.... just really high prices. Still cheaper than a trip to the Dam to have that kind of selection, but not near as fun.

Good to hear that. As I said, he's never let any of my friends down.

Almost 3 weeks of waiting now - but I'm going for the day on Saturday so I'll be smoking something lovely by 10am. Booked it two weeks ago when I figured Rene might take a while.
