I stopped by NY Pizza late one evening in june, ordered a couple of slices, I was pretty stoned so my impression of the food is probably somewhat distorted. The thing is I don't eat much pizza at home so have no real idea of what a good pizza tastes like. I remember it as being ok, I had the munchies after my earlier dinner at RED and it did the job. Would I visit again? Yeah if stoned late one night why not?

The trick to NYP is to order it for delivery so much better than the shit they sell from the case.

you know what the say Matty, variety is the spice of life!
On a side note the lobster at RED was a touch disappointing, it wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. I prefer to eat at either Seasons or De Klos.

New Amsterdam pizza is always sliced, and normally folded in half for consumption, by hand.

That's how they do it in New Amsterdam, anyway :-)

You know it's "right" when that tiny bit of surface grease begins to work its way to the end of the folded slice.

Real NY pizza is as much about the crust as the rest of it.

Ya know, we have proper pizza within walking distance. By the slice. Hmmmm

They call it "New Jersey" style but its as good as any slice I have had in NY.
