Cannabis Cup 2010
High Times is an American company, so you pay for the pre sell passes in Dollars. At the door it's €250, since it's the local currency.DanFromUk wrote:do english people pay in dollars or something?
where are the tickets purchased.

Do you think its the real deal ? surely if it was a Greenhouse setup there would maybe be GH branding etc and payment !! cash in an envelope !? or bank transfer , and its a dude in italy !?Boner wrote:Saw this: http://www.strainhuntertours.com/
Either that its a solo venture and he is jus cashing in on the GH name ? "strain hunters" etc

Cheers, I have been looking for the monthly who's in town pages, where abouts are they as i can not find them at allFlyByNite wrote:lhodgy wrote:I am going on the 21st - 26th
You have been posted on the November Whos In Town page.
You can see who else may be in town during your stay.
Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.
There is at least one Toke & Talk every day of your visit.
By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.
https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/profi ... le&u=43751
I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.
In 1995 judges got a 50% discount on strains entered in the cup. I don't know how they do it now.
Enjoy

Thanks USBONGLORD and balou1999 for your replies to my earlier question, I think two of us will definately get judges passes, it will probably be the only time I go to a cannabis cup so I may as well do it properly, we deem ourselves heavy smokers so it will be a challenge getting around all the cafes and doing the judging aspect, cant wait to get there now.

hi folks
I was planning to come over in October but due to not being able to have someone take the kids my wife has said I can go alone... If that's what I want to do
Anyway I was looking at the cup dates and have had a look on the site offering tickets. There is quite a bit of info on the previous 8 pages (yes I did read them all
) but I have a question or 2 to ask.
It states that if you buy a pass you will beat the crowds in the CS crawl, how does this happen?
If you were to buy a day pass would this allow you to be part of this or would it only be a day entry into the event.
What would others advise? Get a pass with everything included, or get the odd day pass, or even don't bother with the pass and just meet up for a once in the lifetime smoking trip?
I have never gone to the dam on my own and have always been with mates or the wife so this will be a first if I do decide to come.
It doesn't really bother me that much, as I see alot of regulars from here are going along and I'm sure I could hang out with other members during my time rather than being cabbaged alone
Do the prices of accomodation rise during this time, where is everyone else staying at?
I have looked at the flights and can fly from Liverpool for just over £50 so it's very tempting

Where did you read that? It's not part of the day or judge's pass.steven wrote:It states that if you buy a pass you will beat the crowds in the CS crawl, how does this happen? If you were to buy a day pass would this allow you to be part of this or would it only be a day entry into the event.
If you plan on going to the expo daily and the concerts nightly the judge's pass is your best bet. If you plan to only check out a day at the expo and maybe a concert, I would but them individually. There are some folks, me included, that will forgo the pass. What would others advise? Prices are usually lower since it's off season. There is also a film festival in town, so book early for the best spots.Do the prices of accomodation rise during this time, where is everyone else staying at?
My flight is about 10x that amountI have looked at the flights and can fly from Liverpool for just over £50 so it's very tempting

Hi Balou
I read it from hightimes.com
The High Times Cannabis Cup is always held in Amsterdam during the week of Thanksgiving. The 23rd Cannabis Cup will be held from November 21st-25th 2010. Pre-registration begins on Nov. 19th and 20th for those who will be in town a few days early. The benefit of early registration is avoiding the long lines that typically form on opening day, and also to get a head start on the coffeeshop crawl. All registration takes place at the PowerZone (www.thepowerzone.nl)
I may have interpreted it wrong
