AzLaker 420 trip, Day 1

First off sorry for the delay as I had to reconnect with family first before starting out my travelogues. Plus only 6 hours sleep in the last 2 days, so a little tired right now. More on that at the end of my report.
Day 1,
After an uneventful 13 hour flight from Phoenix Arizona, I had arrived. Claimed my bags, got 2 trains tickets, 1 to Amsterdam, and 1 for the unpleasent return trip on the 23rd. Grabed my bags and I was off. As soon as I got to the platform, the train showed up. I knew this was going to be a very good week. 10 minutes later I was at Centraal Station, I could almost smell the herb.
Stopped in at the news stand, bought a stripperkaat and I was good to go. First stop, Picasso's.
Heading west up Prins Hendrikkade I see the Hotel were Lemming is staying, so I stop in to see if he was there, sure enough, he is. We exchange pleasantrys, said we see each other that evening and off I went to Picasso's. Wasn't long I was inside talking it up with the budtender and scoring 1 gram of Poison. MMMMMMM Good!!
Relaxed a little while before grabbing my bags to catch the 1-2-5 tram down to Uptown/Rookies Hotel. Ten minutes and 2 short blocks later I was at my hotel. Got a top floor single with a nice view overlooking the back courtyard. Only 75 euro's a night, breakfast included. Very nice. Already booked a double for the wife and I this New Year's. Since I had very little sleep, I thought I would take a short nap to recharge the batteries so too speak. It never happened. Got up, took a shower and headed down to Rookies. Was nice and quite when I went in around 3:00pm, got 2 grams of "The Rookies" a beer, fired up the Vapo and I was set. Before I knew it the place was getting busy. Meet 2 nice English Ladies, chatted it up a while as I hit the Vapo bag. Turning around to grab my drink a young bald headed guy says " AzLaker? " It was DC and the next 4 days of smoking and some drinking ( I was fighting a cold, so limited my beer intake ) had started. Great guy that DC. Had some very good talks. Not long after that Lafe showed up. Introduced ourselves, more Vapo Bags. All 3 of us got to know each other a little, then Lemming showed up. We sat around chatting, smoking, drinking before we realized we were all pretty hungry. Wandered out of Rookies, 5 stoners, then saw more restaurants then we could see. After a while Thai was the food of choice. Our bellies full, it was off to Dolphins for a nightcap. I bought 1gram of White Dolphin. Nice place, the girl behind the counter wasn't to friendly though. We all got drinks, headed downstairs and chilled. Stayed an hour on some nice seats before the day was finally catching up on me. I said my goodnights to everyone and headed off to my room for a very good nights sleep, preparing myself for the BIG day tommorrow. Day 1 was excellent!! More later with pictures.
