Hotel Stadhouder

Post by mazdog »

Just got confirmation today on my flight and hotel info.
Will be arriving at 12:15pm.
And will be staying at the Hotel Stadhouder.

Anyone familar with this hotel at all??
I searched around a little and couldn't find much info and no reviews. Sounds ok from the little info i did find. Located right across the street from the Heineken Museum, and just down the road from the Rijksmuseum (seems a little farther outta downtown than i was hoping but probably better overall).

Ohhh man i can't wait.......... :P

There is one review on tripadvisor.com saying pretty good remarks.

I personally have never stayed here, but on a previous trip with a friend of mine (timbo) we were at the Ramada Hotel just by the Vondelpark and found this a real peaceful but still knowing your in Amsterdam feel to the place. It is not that far a walk if you don't mind a bit of walking, took us about 30-40 minutes to get to Dam Square area, but you get to know a lot more of the city and even discover a couple of coffeeshops I never knew existed.
~ Is that a grinder in your pocket? ~

thanks valo, i'll head over to tripadvisor.

My non-smoking girlfriend is goin with me and she seemed rather happy with the location, she didn't really wanna be "in the middle of all the action". I know it will be great and we will both have an AWESOME time!!!

just wanted to add that i thought this hotel was very nice.
Friendly and courteous staff, clean rooms, nice breakfast. It is right across the street from the Heinken Brewery, which just far enough from the centre of town (about 1/2 mile from Katsu).

not sure on prices as it was booked through a tour agengy.

I would surely stay there again.
