I'm gonna stop recomending them now, I'm starting to look a bit spammy

They take a print of you're Credit/debit card as a sort of insurance thing, or a copy of you're passport.
Bikes are Sign-less, people who work there are friendly too.

I've heard good things about Frederic. RR you might want to search this section, because I'm pretty sure a good list of bike rental agencies has been listed. Might be a good one for a sticky thread.

I was just thinking the same for maybe a few things like bike rental, cheap eats, cheap accom & so on.

Second what he said! I'm actually staying there in one of his guestrooms. The bikes are 10 euros a day, all in, or 40 euros a week. He's at Brouwersgracht 78.

I've given up on Frederic's now. The last two times I've been, I've ended with really dodgy bikes with naff brakes or gears and ended up having to waste time going back and getting the bike repaired or exchanged. I now use bikecity and the bikes are always in tiptop condition.

Yeah the wife had a bike from Mikes a couple of years back, real friendly staff and they have the Beach cruisers which she preffered (so much so she had to buy one for here in the UK).
