We got an apartment near Nieuwmarkt for the 4 nights which is a change for me as the past 8 times I've stayed at the Grand Krasnapolsky or the American Hotel. I'm really looking forward to having a kitchen and living room. It's gonna be hard to leave once we get all comfortable in the apt.
I've been to Amsterdam quite a few times but never really ventured to that side of the RLD. The one time I did in 1998 i got mugged so I've been hesitant to go back. I'm more familiar with haarlemmerstrat to Leidseplein following the 3 main grachts.
I don't know if it's just me but seems to be alot less Heroin users and other junkies in the streets of the RLD compared to how it was in the 90's. But I feel safer no doubt.
Saturday is the Top Gear live show at the RAI and I'm looking forward to seeing Hammond, Jeremy and the Stig do their thing. We got the gold tickets with paddock passes and decent seats.
But the main point of this trip is to smoke as much as possible. Fuck I love Amsterdam.
