tobacco free advice

Post by LesDawson »

Hi people, i wonder if anyone could tell me about what their best method for smoking joints pure without tobacco is. I would love to smoke pure spliffs but unsure about how most people go about doing this. Do you just use smaller (i.e not king size) papers? Cause i'm thinking that in order for me to fill up a regular spiff all pure would prolly take about 2-3 gms, almost an 8th? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

1 gram of weed will be enough to roll up a 'king size slim ' spliff, pure.
A gram and a half, will make a very nice, kinda fat cone.

2 - 3 grams, will be quite hard to fit in a ' slim', unless some of that is hash.

I use an OCB crystal paper (no paper flavour & I like the way they burn).

A 1.5g joint should last a couple of days if it's decent weed.

I take the outer leaf from around the bud and save this for filler (tobacco replacement) when smoking hash joints. This means the joint will be as strong as the bud ur using will allow. There is no point smoking it like a mixed tobacco joint, I take small hits like I am hittin a pipe or bong and lay it in the ash tray to go out til I next wish to pick the joint up.

Smoking like this should eventually mean you actually smoke less bud, not more.

I too am trying to give up the fags (aren't those patches a bastard to light! )

I've found that I can't really do joints at all anymore, so I've just invested in a small glass pipe and a new bong. Smoking a lot less bud with the same effect.

Simple, I just don't add tobacco. If I want to conserve my gear, or I am smoking alone :( I use smaller papers. If I want a larger joint, I use larger papers. My apologies if I sound condescending, but if you think about what you are asking, sounds strange.

Example:
Q: I want an alcoholic drink but I don't like mixers, and not sure what size glass to use. Please help.
A: Well, for starters, don't add the mixers. As far as the size of the glass, depends on how much you want to drink.

Hope you understand where I am coming from.

Enjoy.
Peace.

Yeah no worries DUR, just wanted a general view on how most people roll em pure, just wondered if there was a certain way of doing it without making it too expensive. Think i might try out a few herbal fillers - though the last ones i tried made my throat sore after burning a few. Thanks for your input, always welcome m8 :D

for those trying to quit tobacco theres a prescription here called chantrix that helps. i tried it in 08 and it worked but i was one of the few who got the depression side effect so had to stop.

Sounds similar to the one I'm on over here - 'Champix'. It says it can give depression side effects, however all I'm suffering at the minute are some extremely fucked up dreams. Like really vivid scenes and that. :?

my girl has been off tobacco tor a year now and she has tried most of the herbal substitutes. superskunk and amsterdam gold from am-hi-co seem to be ok, avoid anything with "marshmallow" leaves in as it makes yr gaf smell of fried fish :(
If yr in dam then rookies sell a decent subbie for a yoyo or two. good luck man.

Thanks. After rereading my post, I sort of took offense with my own tone. My apologies if I offended.
I knew people who quit smoking cigarettes and had to find other materials to use as filler. I can attest that all of them sucked ass. First, my throat burned, as you pointed out about yours. Some had a nasty after taste, some similar to what Clove Cigarettes taste like, probably the same stuff. Some of the people I knew/know are still looking for that perfect filler while others became content with pure.

May I suggest vaporizing? Not very flavorful but better than smoking, pure or mixed, and more importantly, a lot less waste (waste = money).

Good luck with the search. Let us know if you find some decent filler.
Peace.

I wouldn't try any of those smoking blends. You'd be better off going pure by rolling a good old American style doobie. If you smoking alone you can roll up what we called a 'pinner" using 1/4 or even an 8th of a gram.

I don't know if it's the same problem, but I have a friend who's saliva does not work with smoking papers for some reason. Rizla grey king is his paper of choice nut you always need to cut them down in width as they are way too wide for the joints I roll.
