best weed for cooking? - amsterdam

Post by bleak »

hey all,

I'm planning to make a batch of THC-infused olive oil, using 10-15g of weed.

Since its being cooked, I don't care about the taste/smell/appearance of the weed. I'm just looking for the most THC for the price.

Can anyone suggest any good deals in Ams?

thanks in advance! :)

You can find well priced jack herer in Amsterdam that has a very high thc content. For some reason I think dampkring has some at 7.50euro.

How are you going to go about doing this, just curious?

Would it not be easier to make canna-butter to bake with?

i think thc infused cooking/vegitable oil is a bit diff than cannabutter. seen them sold as diff items on mmj disp menus. could be wrong though.
educating myself and waiting for the next trip.

Yeah, just curious about it all. Just wondering if he's doing all this to try and get it back home through the airport, etc.

the reason I made olive oil instead of butter: oil is easier to stash!! for example you could put some in a small glass bottle and carry in your backpack, and take a swig anytime you want a THC dose!

I didn't follow a recipe exactly, but got the basic idea from this:

I used vaped weed/hash. I don't have a scale to weigh it but it was about 3 months collection. It would have been at least 30-40 grams fresh I think.

despite the weed being pre-vaped, I still got some potent oil. one tablespoon gives a 4-5 hour body buzz.

Your best bet is probably the wiet gruis mix or sativa salad mixes from various places. It's just basically the bits and pieces that are not well formed buds, but no different if you are just using it to cook. Save yourself some cash.

Interesting process there, in that video.

Just read another method called Green Dragon where you simply soak a load of bud in either Absinthe or Vodka for a week and then strain off. The alcohol is able to extract the good stuff from the plant, btw. Never tried it though but wouldn't mind a shot or two of the stuff to see if it actually works.

That sounds more appetising than taking a swig of thc infused oil.

I think Dampkring do the salad sativa, think it's about 4.50-5e a gram. I'm sure other places do it aswell. Maybe get some outdoor from yo-yo and use that.

perfect, i'll check out those places suggested!

I'm also planning to try the alcohol infusion method one day. I heard its better to leave it sit as long as possible, like 4 weeks minimum to let the maximum amount of active compounds absorb into the alcohol...

you can also do this with some pure alcohol like butane, then afterwards evaporate the alcohol to get some almost pure THC oil (like the Rick Simpson method, google it..)
