Im loving this one, i started a thread about jamaican sensi a while ago, I love jamaican hi grade, its a wonderful and quite unique buzz/smoke if you get a real good one, IF you ever get to see a real good one that is, and thats a whole subject in itself, just getting it is a real pain in the uk, Dam or even jamaica (my mums other half is jamaican and he struggled on a recent holiday there to find the real dogs nuts, and if he struggled........)

In october Katsu were selling good quality thai but calling it jamaican, thats why you might not want to have their 'super jamaican'. It was nice outdoor, and better than the shitty compressed thai we get, but still worlds away from that lush exotic hi grade imported jamaican weed it should have been, that creeps up and keeps creeeping and doesnt have a ceiling (unless you ignore the time honoured rastas advice, dont mix drink and good hi grade, then you hit the ceiling very fast and it hurts!)

I wouldnt hold your breath trying to get this in Dam nowadays, i havent seen any I would consider genuine for best part of a decade in Dam, though I would love to be proved wrong...

Annoyingly it is around in London if you dont mind risking life/limb and frequent disappointments/rip offs, its 230 an oz or 10 a g.....but the rewards are not worth the risks in my opinion, and street jamaicans are not the easiest to deal with month in month out (sorry no offence intended, but its true) so Its barely worth the aggro alas...

Some people try to charge £10 a gram for it in London, but that is far too much, £50 a quarter is the most I would conceivably pay, £40 was mates' rates!

Just to add, if you want real high (grade), no point buying off the street, all you'll most likely get is an underweighed amount or commercial brown brick weed. As an East Londoner I should also add that there is plenty about without having to go south of the river, as with all weed, it's all about who you know...

I'd love to find some nice imported Jamaican, Thai or African weed when I visit in April. Any suggestions for the best places to find decent imports would be most appreciated.

Try Sanementereng for imported weeds. (not early in the day though )

Katsu has Jamaican and super Jamaican.

YoYo has a great outdoor grown selection which might tick the same type of boxes.

I have mentioned this in other places in the forum, but I've twice gotten the 'Jamaican high grade' from Anyday and absolutely loved it.

From the outside it looked dry and brown, but breaking it up reveals sticky green on the inside, releasing a delicious floral aroma. The effects were a really nice and warm buzz which made me smile a lot.

If anyone else has tried it, I'd love to hear some comparisons with other Jamaican stuff in Ams. The only other time I've gotten Jamaican was from Dolphins and I didn't like it (too dry and tasteless)

Ive had the pleasure in my little life of travelling a lot and smoking a lot also wherever i went without fail, and amongst Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese, Burmese, Indian, Cambodian, Pakistan and nepalese outdoor grown weeds id say there is something definitely special about jamaican, what I dunno, but something about the strain they grow or the sun or the the rastas beaming godliness on it or who knows what seems to give it an edge, I feel higher in a literal happy sense on jamaican and hornier and giggle more than any other, and always have noticed this. The only thing that ever came close was Oaxacan mexcian weed, man that shit rocked you! Havent seen it in Dam for 15-20 yrs though im afraid...oh, and some mind bending buds sold to me half way up Annurpuna mountain in Nepal by a 80 yr old tiny old women who wouldnt take no for an answer and was blocking the trekking path with her bale of buds (without exaggeration), that was also high and happy (not much oxygen mind you up there, that may have helped)

Really appreciate the reggae mate, ive got a hell of a roots collection on vinyl, I prefer the earlier stuff, more Hugh Mundell, Augustus pablo, King Tubby, Burning Spear, Black Uhuru etc...its all goodness though

Would love to try some high grade sess never seen it in cph. weird because you can find hash/weed from all over the world but i guess not that many jamaicans live here.

Stayed in a quality resort outside of Ocho Rios and the entire staff seemed to be drug dealers. My bag boy sold me about a 1/4 of some crystally goodness (although it had seeds) for $150 Jamaican (less than $20 US).

It was amazingly sticky. Nothing i got in Jamaica was compressed.

Yeah, The Indian, Pakistani, Indonesian, Nepali weeds are mainly grown for hasj making mate. When I was in India, at first I couldnt understand why the weed was so schitt, until I spoke to a few babas in the mountains - they said the tradition was to make hasj, and that weed is a weaker form of it -true true.. but hey, the Jamaicans never made hasj - and that could explain why the weed is so good - also the Jamaican, is an IBL (native to Jamaica and never cross bred in its locality, jealously guarded like that - and as we all know, true Landrace IBL's have unique characteristics which make them special

No worries templeball, Jamaican high grade, 'high', cess, bless or sensi is definitely something special. The fact that 'Jamaican' weed sold in 'Dam isn't quite the same tells me that there must be something in the genetics, or perhaps the way it's grown and cured.

Even in London true high grade is hard to find, especially as the term is used for any decent weed with seeds, but you can tell it apart by its sheer stickiness, even when compressed. The taste is great & it can be as potent as any haze or skunk if you get the right stuff.

Nuts, I didn't see her when I went there! I've been to Nepal twice, and we did some walking near Annapurna too. Sadly no buds were on offer, but the hash we got was oily, black and very stoney. Still, the hash has to come from somewhere, so between the potent buds and the altitude, I'm sure it hit you!

Glad to hear you like your reggae, props for the Hugh Blundell (RIP) links. The 70s music is known in London as 'revival' - roots is the more conscious side, lyrically speaking. All great artists you mention, though I'd call Burning Spear & Black Uhuru 80s artists....Augustus Pablo did some crazy dub music from those days that I have somewhere at home. Seems like all the Londoners like a good old toke of "High Grade". I love a bit of "High Grade", and around my neck of the woods it costs between £25 and £35 for an 1/8th. I dont seem to find any good looking and smelling "High Grade" (or Super Jamaican) in Amsterdam.

Best Jamaican i've tried in Dam was from Paradox about 3 years ago . I think it was called Super Jamaican Bun!!!

I have it now, i smoked a fattie with two other people and we all felt the soaring high over our already amnesia haze/cheese stonedness. That's pretty good going considering most people say the high is hard to notice after smoking strong weed.

I'm gonna smoke one to myself this morning and take some photos and will put the report up tonight or tomorrow.
