no way, he is the ultimate conservative, but his blandness wouldn't be able to sell it to the US public, romney will get itSir Niall of Essex-sire wrote:I'm throwing my bet in and saying the Candidate for 2012 of the Republicans will be Cheney.
Good point man, i hadn't thought of that. It's just in an interview the other day he refused to back Palin. Either he's doesn't want to back someone not qualified for the job, which is strange 'cos he was behind Bush all the way. Or he's got something else planned?Pauli Wallnuts wrote:no way, he is the ultimate conservative, but his blandness wouldn't be able to sell it to the US public, romney will get itSir Niall of Essex-sire wrote:I'm throwing my bet in and saying the Candidate for 2012 of the Republicans will be Cheney.
Yeah, but that's because Bush was his puppet and he had to be behind him to stick his arm up Bush's ass to make his lips move.Good point man, i hadn't thought of that. Whoever runs could have a good chance. It seems the democrats are too scared of the Republicans to have any chance. See fillabusters (sp?) and attempts at Bi-partisianship for examples. I think they could learn from the Republicans when it comes to putting through their ideas.DazedandConfusedinOR wrote:Hoping Bobby Jindal throws his hat in the ring. No body here really wants to see McCain or Palin run again and there's no way in hell Cheney would even contemplate it.
Is it naivety, but i don't think Obama's that bad. He's not brought the big change he promised. I think 'cos he has been to concerned with working with the Republicans. Look at the rise in Fillabusters (sp?) that used to be an extraordinary measure, now it's used for everything. In fact the Dem's are reporting the 60 vote deal like it was normal. Do you remember a few years ago when the Republicans said they were ' Going Nuculer' on the Dem's because they were filabustering their plans. But the amount of filabusters in that case wasn't half of the amount there is now. If Obama wants to actually create change, he needs to stop being a girl and go for it. If not, the Republicans will spunk all over the next election and he'll only have himself to blame.Marco wrote:If she becomes President I will probably through my US passport over then fence at the embassy here and say 'done with it'.
I much as I like to tease you Euros here, the US is so fucked up is makes me ashamed. I left in 06-07 partially due to my hatred of Bush. But what is happening now is worse. Between the tea-baggers and Obama's incompetence, I don't know what to do. I love my country, but not all of it...
I'm with ou on that, she's cute in a dirty Sunday school teacher kind of way.Boner wrote:If she starts making porn, I'm moving to the US just so I can vote for her.

Also, Glenn Beck seems to be whiping the easily lead up a bit. He could cause someone to get seriously hurt.
