Old Church

BTW, this is my firt post, so allow me to say what's up to everybody here. Been to Amsterdam three times and going again in three months. Can't fucking wait. It's good to see there's like-minded folk here.
Welcome to the forum!
Old Church is a great place to chill. Love sitting upstairs, smoking and people watching. Great view!
Yes, the Royal Cream is quite tasty! I liked the high I got from it. Kind of a nice frontal lobe, top headed, mellow high. Not sure how to describe it, but maybe some of you know what I mean? Interesting to watch how many guys frequent the hookers in an hours time. I was there a few months ago and I know I counted like 44 guys go in and out at this one stall. Amazing!
I know Flybynight has a who's in town page, so you can always asked to be put on that list so others know when you'll be in town next;meet up and have a smoke, etc. fyi

Old Church
We stopped at the Old Church Saturday just gone and apart from having to stand up for about 10 mins waiting for a seat, it was very chilled. 6 of us visited the Dam and all of us enjoyed the weed and atmosphere at the Old Church. We have loads of photo's taken with Bob on the wall lol....
Does anybody know whether Old Church still sells 'Ice Skunk'? I bought this strain back in july 06 (was €12,50 for 1.9g) and it was one of the best strains I have had in Amsterdam.....had everything: smell, look, taste, texture and stone!
Any lastest news on this strain would be much appreciated. But if you are in the area, it is well worth the trip if it is of same standard.

I love this coffee shop! It is abit expensive but definetly the best in the city centre. My freinds took abit 'ill' in there, they were so nice and sorted him right out! Great view, lovely staff, nice weed, chilled, quiet tunes and the best bongs! (with ice in them!!) What more could anybody ask for in Dam???
I like my people like I like my weed, full of THC.

One of our fave shops.
The atmos is lively and cosmopolitan, and the bar tenders were very friendly and made us welcome.
Definately worth the wait for a table.
Hate going upstairs there tho as there is no atmos at all and is bland and not as comfy. But there is a great surprise in the ladies loo

De Oude Kerk has a nice feel to it (very open), however, their weed selection was a little sparse when I arrived. I opted to try their Oude Kerk Special Strain 2007 and I was a little disappointed. The bud was huge and definitely on the plus side of the scale, but it had an awful flavor - it seemed kind of peppery and citrusy and kind of White Widowish in smell, but just didn't do anything for me. My husband joked that I probably should have tried another strain - that was just another name for sucker strain that they couldn't sell. I was hoping it was a geniune specialty - it wasn't, but I would go back.

Popped-in here yesterday while trapsing through the centre of town. Didn't buy any weed or hash, just stopped for a quick joint and a drink. I always end up stopping here - its a good resting point if you're finding it hectic...nice surroundings, lots of outdoor seating and great for people-watching. Only thing is pretty awful music...but this place still stands out as one of the more welcoming ones in the centre, more relaxed and inviting than some of the uber-central coffeeshops.

I agree with Mr Morrell the music can be lousy but hang around and it changes. Its one of our fave shops. We like to sit in the "shrine" up the back and spent some time chilling. We bought some Double Zero hash and smoked four joints of it here. It was very light and crumbly and made us talk loads on serious subjects (as opposed to utter bullshit as normal) nice gear. The barkeep smiled constantly and was as friendly as ever
luv this place.
