Site slow

Post by bigjohn »

Hi lemming,

Can you (or anyone else) confirm if this site is running very slow, each time I open a new page it is taking a long time to load, I'm not having any problems with other sites so don't think it's my PC.

Cheers
John

John, I've been having the exact same problems over the past couple of weeks on this site, and just like your situation I haven't had any problems with any others.

The problems started while I was using my AOL browser and I noticed that certain things that happened before had suddenly stopped happening.

I started using Internet Explorer to log on to the net and this site and the other problems stopped apart from the slow running of the site sometimes.

Must have something to do with the sheer volume of posts and pics on the site nowadays and this maybe explains the slower speeds.

Maybe not though :?

same for me too... I thought it was just me and didn't even think to mention it.

It's worse than when I had dial-up

Yeah, it is very slow at the moment. Peter of LocalInet (member "slimline") kindly hosts the Forum for free on one of his servers. I guess bandwidth is a bit tight at the moment.

Cheers Lem and John for bringing it up.

It's no major issue... just gets means I keep nodding off when it's late in the evening :?
