Eminem at the Glasgow Barrowlands, circa 99,supported by the High and Mighty.
or
Oasis at Murryfield in Edinburgh, circa 99, supported by the Happy Mondays and the Doves.

I'm unsure which was first, i'd have to dig out the ticket stubs to be sure.
Although, I did see Evelyn Glennie http://www.evelyn.co.uk/Evelyn_old/homepage.htm when at Primary school, does that count? :?

Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stoneage......Slane Castle 2003.

The first gig and although i've been too a lot of gigs since, this still remains the best i've been too. RHCP even released the DVD of it which i love watching to remind me of that day.

Before any sort of concert, Gigs or live bands I've been to, the first big venue I experienced was one of the infamous UK acid house raves.

It was in the City of Bath, held in an abandoned, derelict warehouse, all completely illegal and extremely dodgy. DJ's were on the decks pumping out some weird trance music with hundreds of people off their heads everywhere you looked. Absolutely awesome stuff when you could hear the music outside and when entering the dilapidated building it was a seriously overwhelming sight seeing a sea of people all in unison, dancing to the beat. We were all teenagers and it was a bit scary, but that's what it was all about and the fear that the police could raid it and nab you. Been to tons of these illegal raves and still into the music.
