I was wrong.
Kermit a while ago was saying that the Taliban needed to be removed, i said it was part of democracy, however, having just watched a program, I was completely wrong. I stick by the point the war was the worst possible way to do it, but Kermits conclusion was right.

Babylon 'wan tief mi 'erb. But mi bun it bfoe dey come.
maybe you should go back and read nail's posts, and my encouragement that he should be supporting the soldier's that are dying in Afghanistan in his name. The little POS now has an epiphany that the TAliban is bad, but that does not change his lack of respect for NATO soldiers.gixxer wrote:Marco wrote:Awe, all the dead British soldiers are really grateful for your approval.

whats that anti-war protest phrase again? oh yeah NOT in my name!!
Marco just because you believe one should blindly support the troops regardless of one's opinion on the moral justifications of a conflict does not mean everybody should be as vocally supportive as you are. A person does not necessarily wish death and injury upon the troops because they do not agree with their activities. A person can easily wish them safe because they generally believe in life peace and happiness without vocally supporting them or agreeing with their presence. Being anti-war is not the same as being anti-soldier, and the troops certainly do not need the express sympathy and support of every anti-war campaigner, they are big boys and girls, who signed up for this shit.
Niall has many opinions about which he is vocal, he has been very open and honest and imo fair by admitting he has recently changed his opinion on a particular issue. You could be supportive of him rather than being an ass.
If I have guessed correctly what POS means you are breaking the only rule of the site and certainly not contributing to an open debate but instead attempting to turn it into (another) pointless argument about a subject on which an agreement is unlikely to be reached.
IMHO the Support your Troops moral is laughable. And those that push it aggressively wrongly assume that anybody who is against conflict is an enemy of his countrymen. It is in the same vein as the "support you president" lobby who like to think you should support your president simply because he is elected, like he is the infallible pope.
So bravo Niall for being open-minded enough to adjust your opinions given new information and being man enough to admit in public when you in no way had to.
