treetop wrote:Nice refurb. New furniture. Alas Paradox drops off my top 3 list for a couple of reasons. No more veggie burgers is the main one. Such a shame to have a nice big kitchen and only do toasties!
what are the other reasons?

Did ya say something about the veggie burgers? perhaps if enough folks make requests they will reappear.
The shop has changed. With the refurb they've added lots of lighting and the place is bright. Having spent the last six spring breaks in Adam and a significant amount of time in Paradox during each one I feel the place has lost a lot of it's grungy old charm. Local regulars that I used to have a lot of laughs with don't show up anymore. I still like the staff, the soft bench to sit on and the milkshakes but some of the old gezellig is gone.
what a shame! The best part from my point of view were the local regulars, always inviting us into good conversations. i loved the grunge of the old place. Geez, reminds me of when Amnesia redid itself....felt like we lost an old friend when it got modernized. oh well...
everything changes

I will have to visit to see the re-furb  loved the way it was before , Paradox was the venue of my 1st ACD 420 T&T (2011) got absolutely wrecked with some of you

Wifey was not overly impressed when we visited together so we will see which 1 of us it appeals to now .
Sending out the good vibes to those that need them right now :-)

I like the re-furb. Brightens the place up a bit. Plenty of locals last time I was in there.

Glad to hear your approval, sailor and marok

Just got back from 8 days in Dam and Paradox is def my fav coffeesshop.
Great atmosphere, great service and always with a smile and mostly quiet with mostly locals shoping.
The best thing about this place is that it's not pretentious, it's exactly the kind of coffeeshop I wish I have.
Smoked mostly the super silver haze that was excelent each and every time.
My fiance who orded hotchocalte got a nice big tasty cup and even got the all pot to herself to refill.
So thank you Paradox for a great time, wi'll surly be back and meanwhile I shall sent many friends at your way.

Exactly how I felt when I was in Amsterdam last June, (apart from I don't like coffee) + the best 5euro deals.

Will be a regular in here in just over a couple of weeks for a few days of working my way through their menu.Hopefully the finger hash will be there...
