Before coment about their products, I'd like to say I really liked the new decor, the ambient of the place seems lighter for me and still has the "underground" spirit but everything with good taste. I also must say I had THE BEST SERVICE of all CS I've been for this year.

Bad news: They didn't have the Finger Hash.
Good news: The budtender (amazing guy, polite, attentions, smoker aswell hehe) told me they had something that can compete with the Finger Hash. It's called WASH.
0,8 Gram Wash Hash - Rate 10/10

Its another kind of hash, but it CAN COMPETE with finger hash in "how stoned he lets you". hehe... Powerful, metaphoric, activates brain and body in a matter of few seconds. Really hard as a rock, light brown inside, dark brown outside. Looks like moroccan. TOP. 8)

Also bought 02 grams of 100% Sativa.
Image
Although it doesnt look like massive (all the buddies were separated as you can see in the picture, not like a ''little palm'') the smelling was trully interesting and the budtender told me to be careful with it... hehehe

After smoked it, the sativa's speeding your brain effect came really fast. And furious! Tremendous tripping where I couldnt even smoke more then 1/2 cigar. I told to the budtender "Bomb!".... He said to me "I warned you..." hehehe
He also told me this weed came from Ecuador...

One of my favs, always.

Tried the 100% Sativa this morning for the first time, and with a fresh head. Purchased yesterday- 15eu/gr.

Two Launch Box hits took me to that introspective "creepy quiet" kind of high, with just a hint of fog. Not really any sativa energy felt, but at the same time there was a feeling like you've had enough- quietly overwhelming, I guess. The Orient Express (Ace seeds) I grew also had this "quiet power" that you can sense in your core quality.

The budtender said this strain is the same as the Quaze, Grinspoon, etc., and that he just decided not to give it a crazy name.

I prefer the Grinspoon at Katsu, and think there's better ways to part with 15eu/gr as well. Certainly looks the business, though.

And as always, YMMV. This is highly subjective stuff- and these brain cells are prolly greyer than yours.

btw, Paradox's light, white, (fluorescent lighting?) and sparse-ish interior reminded me of a few train station espresso rooms I've been to in Italy.

cheers

I must completely agree with you there. The service in Paradox is top notch. I went back multiple times and each tender was awesome.

The dude with the ponytail made me laugh so much....

I believe the owner's name is Ludo. He was there once when I went and he's incredibly nice, as you can see from these 2 videos (explains Finger Hash & Wash Hash in the 2nd):

I've also seen a big, tall, muscular guy as BT @ Paradox and he was just as accomodating and friendly.

I like it here... a little bit outside from the hectic centrum. Finally there was the
budtender I saw on the Youtube Videos from Adventures in Europe with Big D.
A really nice guy. It is so nice to listen to his words  I like his voice very much ^^

I asked him for a nice sativa weed... he showed me the 100% Sativa. I saw it a lot of times
but never tried it. The taste was exactly like I imagined. Not fruity but real hazy :) very strong
I feel the effects after the first tokes... and that allthough I smoked Starbuds Sister from
Vayagers before.

I have to say I am pleasantly surprised with that strain!

Paradox is a nice coffeeshop tucked away off a quiet leafy street. THe owners son is super cool. Very laid back spot and good prices. They also have the BEST space cakes in AMS. Guaranteed. They are the strongest as they have the most THC in them. Can't wait for my annual trip to AMS to have a few smokes there and read the magazines laying around.

I had my first experience this trip in this coffeeshop absolutely love it and the local area.

I had the 100% Sativa, didn't look that great but we all know this but smoke was lovely. 9/10 really enjoyed this

Had the super silver haze as well, decent sample of the strain, bud didn't have great bud appeal but still nice 8/10 for me.

A new favourite. Had fingers crossed hoping to find some Finger Hash, unfortunately I was out of luck so the dealer recommended some Wash. Lovely strong Moroccan hash. Its the ticket :)

The Wash is probably the single strangest hash I have ever encountered in my 10+ years of visiting Amsterdam. To all intents and purposes you could be forgiven for thinking you'd been ripped off with soap bar or something else of that ilk. Smoke it, give it half hour and buckle your seatbelt.

Every hash I've purchased from this coffeeshop has been of exceptional quality. I don't find the weed as good but it is still great quality.

Love this place

So was in there last week. No cakes! They had 'oily capsules' instead. 6 eu each. I tried one. Got stuck in my throat and was slack jawed all day!

The 100% sativa was a grindspoonesque strong nice high. There was a palpable sensation of it 'cutting through' the wash which I'd had 20 minutes or so before
The wash was pretty good but not as good as the finger hash which was also lacking. Also had the kandy kush which was the best kandy kush I had this trip. Tried a few. Dam seemed to be awash with kandy kush this particular weekend.

Sat inside and chilled out looking at the reflection in the window of passers by. Good stuff. 8)
