I did something preety cool....

Post by mazdog »

yesterday for my girlfriends b-day i took her on a sunrise hot-air balloon ride. It was incredible, extremely peaceful and calming, and naturally very scenic. We flew over a national forest on the edge of a town called Sedona that is know for its beautful "red rock" formations, canyons and mountains.

I'd highly reccomend it to anyone who ever has the chance.

I took a tons of pics of the whole process and made a little gallery for them.
The gallery can be found

Anyone else done this? or something similar??

Some amzing pics mazdog, nice of you to share them. Still streaming some of the videos as I write this but it sure looks like one hell of a day - you certainly don't get the chance to take photos like that everyday!

Looks like a great place to shoot a westerm film too :) Thanks for posting

Awesome shots there.

I've been to Sedona. It has a real good vibe. :)

I gave my wife a hot air balloon ride for Xmas one year, Gave my 70 year old mother-in-law one for her birthday. Next year the wife got a sailplane ride, and the year after that a freefall from 10,000 feet. I did the sailplane, skipped on the freefall.

Enjoy

Yeah nice one 'Dog. Your girlfriend most have been so stoked (happy) and there are some really great photos there.

Haven't been up in the sky on anything else but a plane and I would probably just shit myself anyway going up in a balloon or hang gliding or indeed as Fly By Nite mentioned freefalling or parachuting.

Come to think of it, I really wish the cabin staff on aeroplanes would stop all the life jacket and emergency exit demonstrations. That shit must freak a few people out.

Almost sounds like your trying to get rid of her. ;) You couldn't pay me enough to get into a hot air balloon. Nope, not me. My feet like the ground waaaaaay too much.

Meet some hippies in Sedona. I'd say it was memorable but I blacked out.

Nice pics Mazdog. If I had known it was "E's" birthday, I would have brought a little extra last time I saw you. Happy belated Birthday "E". AzLaker 8)
